About

Lose yourself to the smooth tunes from the eclectic THIEVERY CORPORATION, making a highly anticipated return to Australia this coming February 2016 - their first in over 4 years with a FULL LIVE BAND.

THIEVERY CORPORATION duo, Eric Hilton and Rob Garza, have spent two decades creating boundary warping, complexly crafted electronic music blending an eclectic array of influences from Afro –beat, Indian, Jamaican Dub, Brazilian, New York tones with trip hop and acid jazz.

THIEVERY CORPORATION’S Bossa Nova inspired latest studio album, ‘Saudade’, once again sees the band changing direction, trading the fiery energy of their last two albums for a more wistful and summery mood.

The album once again demonstrates why the band is one of the most influential and respected names on the electronic and dance music scene.

‘Brilliant…a complex, sensual release pushing the boundaries in style – 4.5/5 stars’ - The Australian

The Australian shows will feature a FULL LIVE BAND, drawing material from THIEVERY CORPORATION’S stellar discography over the past two decades. Prepare to be mind blown by THIEVERY CORPORATION as they guide you through an energetic, ethereal, sultry, groovy, mysterious and hypnotic musical journey.

    Thievery Corp Impressive

by sherpaWat on 2009-10-26Kool Haus - Toronto

Having been to several very good shows over the many years of this venue, the Thievery Corporation took me by complete surprise. The sound was easily the best I've ever heard at the Kool Haus and the show demonstrated the versatility of a band deserving a following 10 fold of what they enjoy currently. The range of musical influences are astounding. The professionalism and musicianship displayed was incredible as well as delightful. The mood of the crowd appeared to be grooving and receptive for such a fine band. I will not miss them if they grace the Toronto area again. Wasn't also refreshing to see a band where the two leaders on the turntables didn't need to be the centre of attention. Kudo's all around.

    disappointed

    by loulou11 on 2009-10-24Kool Haus - Toronto

I was extremely disappointed by the poor selection of songs that were performed during the first part of the show (with the exception of songs number 3 and 4) and ended up leaving early....didn't care for the strong reggae influence of much of what was played....wish they had played more to their middle eastern influenced work

    Amazing

by Inaani on 2009-10-24Kool Haus - Toronto

I will not forget this concert any time soon. It was one of the best I've seen in a while, excellent performances and voices, all synchronized to a crowd ready to dance and party.

    Thievery Corporation : Utterly mind-blowing.

by sephiros on 2009-10-24Kool Haus - Toronto

I've been to hundreds of concerts, and this ranks amongst the best. A 15 piece band, some of the best singers from around the world, incredibly talented musicians - what more could you want?

    Wish it was better.

The music was awesome, but the concert it self was not. They couldn't keep up the energy in the concert hall. I didn't like the pauses and some of the performers didn't look like they were enjoying the show themselves at all.
