Hailed as "one of the best acoustic guitarists in the world" by NPR's World Cafe, Tommy Emmanuel got his start at the age of six, when he first began touring his native Australia with his family's band. As a teenager, he earned a reputation as a highly sought after sideman and session player, and by his early twenties, Emmanuel was playing on chart-topping hits and performing with acts like Air Supply and Men at Work. Inspired in part by his hero, Chet Atkins (who would later become a friend, mentor, and collaborator), Emmanuel stepped out on his own as a solo artist in 1979, releasing the first in a string of acclaimed instrumental albums that would make him an unlikely celebrity in his home country and beyond. In the decades that followed, he would go on to headline everywhere from the Sydney Opera House to Carnegie Hall; tour with luminaries like Eric Clapton and John Denver; win a Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Arrangement; perform for a televised audience of more than two billion at the Sydney Olympics; and collaborate with a who's who of fellow guitar greats, including Les Paul, Mark Knopfler, Joe Walsh, Richard Thompson, Jason Isbell, and Billy Strings.
Recorded in just four days, Emmanuel's latest album, Living In The Light, stands as the most daring--and most rewarding--collection in the globetrotting fingerpicker's remarkable catalog, fusing his pop, jazz, classical, and roots influences into a virtuosic masterwork as exhilarating as it is intimate.

Finally, I can say I've had the pleasure of seeing Tommy's fluid mastery of the accoustic guitar in concert. I'd seen his You-Tube videos and that's what drove me to see him live, so I was thrilled to see that he'd added Toronto on his tour. Effortless. Poignant. Percussive. Harmonic. Sublime.
This was our second time seeing Tommy. We brought friends to experience the amazing talent and truly entertaining artist. We will be back.

The venue was small enough to seem like a cozy and intimate show. As for Tommy Emmanuel.......there are no words to describe the level of talent he posesses. One of the most amazing concerts I have ever attended. If you like fingerstyle guitar, you are in for the treat of a lifetime! I only wished I had brought the whole family. If he ever comes to the Windsor-Detroit area, I will BE there.
Having discovered Tommy on YouTube a few years ago it then became my fantasy to watch this amazing incredible guitarist live and his performance at the Gatineau Casino made this possible. Tommy did not disappoint and is even better in person than on YouTube. The sound and acoustics in the Casino Theater were just awesome. Tommy received several standing ovations from the very appreciative crowd who were part of History as I do not think an amazing entertainer like Tommy will come along in a long time. He is like the Elvis or Beatles of music with his guitar. His amazing Day Tripper version was classic Tommy and it was done with perfection. If you closed your eyes one would swear that there had to be at least 3 guitars on stage. Tommy even sang a few songs and he even has a good voice. An incredible Concert running from 8 to 10:30 is what I call getting your money’s worth.
This was an amazing concert!! If you haven't seen Tommy Emmanuel live then you are missing out on an unforgettable musical experience. In my mind Tommy is the the best fingerstyle guitarist there is and his finesse and expertise along with the rapport he has with the audience makes an evening you will always remember! Go see him whenever you get the chance...you will not be disappointed! You'll soon understand what CGP stands for! The venue at Lac Leamy was also really good, there was not a bad seat in the house !
No words to describe. He is possibly one of the best guitarist out there. Whether you are a hardcore guitarist or simply enjoy music, don't miss the opportunity to go see him if he happens to perform nearby you.
Tommy was unforgettable ! Obviously a master at his craft. Never thought I'd hear a guitarist that outplayed Chet Atkins...but here he is. Extremely creative yet technically brilliant. Bring him back please !

I had seen a few of his Youtube videos so I had quite high expectations, but he is a consummate entertainer and took time to introduce some of the lesser known tunes and he didn't let me down. I'll go to see him again...
Tommy Emmanuel is simply the best that I've ever seen on accoustic guitar. Just watching him play is a treat. I would go see him again in a minute!

A Tommy Emmanuel show is simply magical. What this guy can do with a guitar is extraordinary. A great entertainer, virtuosity at it's greatest, when you leave a Tommy show you are simply blown away.....Don't miss this !
If you visit "Guitar Mountain" Tommy resides at the very top... I`ve seen Tommy twice live, had the pleasure of meeting him.. Not only is he a most talented guitarist, he is a fine gentleman... When Chet Atkins calls you the ":Best finger picker in the world" it means something & when you see Tommy you`ll understand why he was so highly respected by Chet... Wait until you see Mombassa or initiation live... Go See Tommy Live... You`ll be talking about it for months...
The whole concert was like WOW! But the most amazing moments for me were of Tommy doing his percussion break with brush, hands, guitar, guitar strings, microphone.....
