The stage production was like the program that all children attending the event are familiar with, so the entertainment value was good. Thirty minutes into the hour long program they had an intermission for 20 minutes - this was not necessary even with small children. When the show resumed bringing back the momentum was difficult for the children. They need to run the show all the way through and keep the kids interacted.

Rating: 3 out of 5by ItzMe on 2013-05-11Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton Rating: 2 out of 5 Too short and not on time
by Vcvl on 2013-05-01Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoThe show was supposed to start at 4pm, but it started around 4:15pm, and the break was 4:40. They said it was 15mins break, but the second half didn't started until 5pm and the show finished at 5:30pm. So it was really an hour show. The stage decoration is too simple and the story is not interesting. Overall, the show is far away from my expectation.

Rating: 1 out of 5by kayce on 2013-04-30Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto Very poor production. Not worth the ticket. Kids were not engaged. SUGGESTION is to have another mascot for children to meet. My 4 year old actually said i hope its over After intermission. Sad to say i felt the same way. Get rid of the Tv's and use actual props.
Rating: 3 out of 5 My daughter liked it but...
by Sbrozzi on 2013-04-30Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoEssentially this is two people in fat suits with a subpar background dancing around for an hour. My 3 1/2 year old daughter LOVED it for the opening 30 mins but then the show stops for a 15 min intermission. That intermission killed the energy and the second half was met with restless children and parents heading for the door early.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Great Afternoon
by Dextopher on 2013-04-29Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoGreat Afternoon for the little guy. He wasn't sure what was going on until it started but was then glued to the show. He's still singing the tunes even a few days after the show. As good as a Kids show can be for parents! Well done!

by Metz on 2013-04-29Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoThe show was a lot of fun. I enjoyed it and most importantly my 21 month old daughter had a blast.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Toopy & Binoo gets thumbs up!
by Dimples21 on 2013-04-29Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoThe show was very good. Great colors, good sound and our seats were good. I'm glad we were in the second row mezz, it didn't occur to me how noisy the audience can get so most of the noise was behind us. It was disappointing that they sold out of the Toopy and Binoo plush toys (although they were a bit pricey) but I guess that's the risk you run when you go to the last show of the day. My daughter loved it and the sets were well done, a replica of their room on TV and lots of familiar characters from the show.
Rating: 3 out of 5 My 3 year old loved it!
by BusyParent on 2013-04-29Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoMy son just turned 3 and loved the show. He is a big fan of Toopy and Binoo, so for him to see them "in person" was fantastic for him. It was very similar to the television series and easy to follow along for him. He was captivated by it and was able to sit through the whole show without losing interest. I would have given the show a higher rating except the fact that I thought the ticket prices were expensive for a children's show. I would recommend it to any parents who has a child that loves Toopy and Binoo, but warn them of the cost of tickets and that even babies-in-arms had to have their own ticket as well. Maybe it's to discourage parents from bringing babies to the show. It certainly did for my family. Instead of being a family outing, my spouse stayed at home with our younger child.
Rating: 2 out of 5 Toopy and Binoo was not worth the $$
by KellySCS on 2013-04-29Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoIt was incredibly expensive for a half rate show for 3 and 4 year olds. The sound was not good - music too loud and could not understand song lyrics. The merchandise was very expensive and the Tshirt sized stared at YOUTH which for a 3 year old was way too big - better suited for a 8 or 9 year old! Having an intermission for little kids is a bad idea. Crying and not understanding that T & B would be back soon did not go over well with many kids around us. And then at the end, they expected it to come back again... poor planning. The music was OK but not memorable, and we did not leave even remembering any of the words. Also most of the music was performed by 'other' characters and did not even really involve T & B whom we went to see. Also, there were no posters, cardboard cut outs or the actual characters in the lobby for photo ops so we could take pictures with favorite characters. Would have liked a T& B cut out with a place to put child's head 'in the hole' to have a free great picture opportunity. When we left, my 3 year old told me she liked it, but liked the FREE, amateur show that we saw at the local library more than the Toopy and Binoo show. Very Disappointing.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Toopy and Binoo didn't disappoint!
by EmilyDoubleU on 2013-04-29Sony Centre - TorontoMy daughter and I absolutely loved the show. The sound was perfect in the Sony Centre, not too loud nor too quiet. I'm glad we sat in the orchestra area because we could see perfectly. The show was 1.5 hours and it was the perfect amount of time, my daughter actually didn't want to leave but momma did. ;) I highly recommend this show!
Rating: 4 out of 5 Toopy & Binoo - Great Show
by WigglyMama on 2013-04-29Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoOur 3 year old son loves Toopy & Binoo - The show didn't disappoint - he was exicted when the arrived on stage and wanted to stand for most of the show as there were plenty of songs to move and grove to.
Rating: 1 out of 5by SamF06 on 2013-04-29Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto I didn't like the show at all my daughter was bored we ended up leaving half way threw she couldn't sit anymore was way to long and not entertaining .
Rating: 5 out of 5 Loved Toopy & Binoo!
by RPSP on 2013-04-29Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoThe show was great, my 2 and a half year old daughter loved it and had a great time! The majority of the show is singing so that's great for holding the kids' attention. My daughter got tired only during the last few minutes. Overall a great event for little kids. The only complaint I have about it has nothing to do with the show, but the cost of the stuffed animals, which of course the kids all want. $35 for a toopy and binoo stuffed toy. For one child this is still quite a high amount and likely not possible for many parents who brought more than one child. Aside from that we had an excellent time :)

by PaysMomma on 2013-04-29Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoMy 3 year old LOVED it!!! Was really busy and the person in front of us had a big head so it was hard for my son to see, but once we straightened that out he really enjoyed the show!!
Rating: 5 out of 5 Children loved it!!!!!
by jkor05 on 2013-04-29Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoSogs were great, length with intermission was perfect for little ones, and items that could be purchased were good! I went with a couple of 2 year olds, and they thoroughly enjoyed the music! They sold toopy and binoo and patchy patch stuffed animals for $35 each, t-shirts for $20 each, lunch boxes for $15 each, and awesome magic wands for $10 each. There were colouring books too but I don't remember the price. There was a complimentary stroller check-in as well! I plan to go again when they are back in town!
Rating: 2 out of 5by Anonymous on 2013-04-29Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto My son and nephew did not like it at all, I also spoke with a couple other parents and their kids didn't enjoy it either. It didn't keep them interested, I was disappointed more so that I knew my son was too. He loves Toopy and Binoo so much and didn't care to watch it.
