    Argo's versys Bombers

by Pudderduck on 2009-08-04Rogers Centre - Toronto

Missed the first quarter and thankful I did. That game stunk. We need to get back to the glory days of old with better quarterbacks and kickers especially. At least my Bombers won despite their performance.

Bombers/Argos game was a great family experience!

    by Canada19 on 2009-08-04Rogers Centre - Toronto

The entire game experience was incredible. A family atmosphere second to none. And lets not forget the Canadian Football League showcasing the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Toronto Argonauts.

    Argos Football game

by grover on 2009-08-04Rogers Centre - Toronto

The Tononto Argos vs Winnipeg Blue Bombers footbal game on Sat, Aug 1, 2009 at the Rogers Centre was a very well attended event. We enjoyed the game immensely, but sometimes found it hard to follow the calls that were being made and what had just happened in the game. (i.e. the 10 yard penalty at the end of the game). We and everyone around us was trying to figure out why they got the penalty and only understood after we listened to Sports cast on the radio on our drive home from the game.

    it sucked

by poogiebear on 2009-08-03Rogers Centre - Toronto

it really sucked that because of the overselling of booze at the ac dc concert earlier in the year that no alcohol was allowed to be sold at the football game.

Argos couldn't have tried harder to lose!

by sidsbuddy on 2009-08-03Rogers Centre - Toronto

7 turnovers...it was the most frustrating display of football if you were rooting for the hometeam. Took my family who were more interested in the event and they didn't seem as distraught as I. Argos need to right their offensive ship before I decide to go watch another game... they couldn't have picked a worse game to make "dry"...alcohol would have taken some of the edge off :)

    Argos do it again!

    by Football48 on 2009-08-03Rogers Centre - Toronto

Well, the Argos found an entertaining way to lose on Saturday - but TicketMaster really came through for us. We picked up our tickets at the designated window (fast and easy) then went to our seats. There were 2 couples on either side of our seat - both weighing slightly more than 300 lbs and hanging half over our seats. There was no way we could fit in. So back to the Ticket Master Window where we told our tale and requested that we be shifted over somewhere. The person at the window nodded and smiled at our plight - and promptly gave us upgraded seats. It was amazing! Thanks TicketMaster! You really didn't fumble this one (unlike the Argos)!

    A view from both sides

    by TrueBlue2 on 2009-08-02Rogers Centre - Toronto

In spite of the large number of turnovers and leaving at least 21 points on the ground, the Argos should probably have won if not for the missed field goal. There should not have been an official review of " the play " especially after the lapse of time of the play.

    ThArrrrrrgoes another victory!

by BillyFingers on 2009-08-02Rogers Centre - Toronto

Great seats, great time at the game, great to be able to go down to the field afterwards, too bad about the 7 turnovers though and some lousy calls by the officials - although we should all expect that in the CFL by now, shouldn't we? This team really needs to catch a break - and maybe a new coach. Good luck boys!

    Great Seats good game

    by san2 on 2009-08-02Rogers Centre - Toronto

Considering I bought the tickets last minute and spur of the moment decision, we had excellent seats. It was my sons' first football game ever and he loved every minute of it. Both teams showed spirit and were children friendly. I would go again.

    By a point!

    by Dee2 on 2009-08-02Rogers Centre - Toronto

Although they gave it up by a point the Argos put forth a great effort to come back from a 10 point deficiet. The blue Bombers were riding high on the 10 point lead gained early in the first quarter but the Argos pushed forth with some exciting ball after an excrutiating slow start. There were many great plays in the latter part of the game with some outstanding tackles and turnovers. In the end the Argos almost took the win but gave it up by one point.

    Turnovers!

by ArgoFan on 2009-08-02Rogers Centre - Toronto

The Argo game on August 1st was enjoyable aside from the team's inability to hold onto the football (7 turnovers is unbelievable). Largely a good outing for the family. Post game time on the field was disappointing as very few players were actually on the field.

    Great Event with Visiting Travellers

    by zegr81 on 2009-08-02Rogers Centre - Toronto

I went to this event with 8 people in our group. 4 of the group are from various european and middle eastern countries visiting Toronto, none of whom had ever seen a football (CFL or NFL) game before. The stadium and the staff were well organized and the extra give-aways and contests were fun. As it seems with all professional sports venues, items were expensive while at the event (ie Pizza Pizza slice is $5.00 when the same item outside of the stadium is $2.50). All seemed interested and involved in the game, too bad Toronto lost. All in all for the price of admission of $33 (seats in section 109D) the day was great. Also it was family day with no alcohol which could have played either way with a group, but ours was a young group and alcohol was not needed.

    shucking,,,chucking...Argo FOOTBALL !!!

by Harper on 2009-08-02Rogers Centre - Toronto

I had a great time, the seats were perfect and at a great price for friends or a family night out and you wont break your bank account. I just wish the Argos would have played better and won, but the cheerleaders made up for it. I highly recommend going...you get great pro football at low cost.

    Time Violation ?

by Alumnidancer on 2009-08-02Rogers Centre - Toronto

Chad Lucas has an awesome touchdown "Welcome to Toronto", while Justin Medlock could have been the hero, he hit the goal post. Why??? Why the time violation guys??? How often are these guys practicing, once a week? Two fumbles, two interceptions. Luckily it was a gorgeous day and Carribana was in prime form when we left the stadium as least there was a great party atmosphere outside, because there sure wasn't any party happening inside.

    Argos offence squander opportunities

by ArmchairQuarterback on 2009-08-02Rogers Centre - Toronto

Argos defence played a great game especially after the first quarter. Unfortunately, the same can't be said of the offence. Despite gaining over 400 yards of offence, they managed only 1 touchdown and 1 field goal. Having 7 turnovers was pathetic and having a time count violation on a field goal attempt in the last minute of the game was bush league and inexcusable. The Argos need to get points when they are in the red zone. Joseph threw a blind pass into double coverage when they were on Winnipeg's 30 yard line. If he had played it safe and gone for a field goal, the outcome may have been different. The Argos beat themselves in this one.

    Good Game

by Cider on 2009-08-02Rogers Centre - Toronto

I was expecting a lot more from this game, but i did realize it was the CFL. Even though there were so many plays that weren't complete and the talent on the field wasn't impressive at all the competition of the game developed excitement. I found it quite comparable to the timbits game at halftime.
