  • The Good Nurse

by Linger on 2022-09-20Visa Screening Room at Princess of Wales Theatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing on all levels. Incredible story and incredible actors and incredible inspiration. Seeing the actual nurse come out first on stage for the question and answer - a moment that will always be treasured.

  • I had an amazing experience!

by Kadeshia on 2022-09-19Scotiabank Theatre Cinema 2 - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I loved all the films that I saw. The only downside was I found there wasn’t enough viewing days and showtime’s for some films. But overall loved the festival!

by Julia on 2022-09-18Roy Thomson Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Nice to experience the festival back in person to watch the movies and see my favorite actors. Since my tickets all came through ticketmaster, the proceeds was relatively easy and I like the notice 24 hours of sending me my tickets digitally.

Had an awesome time at TIFf 2022 and Princess of Wales Theatre. The convenience of purchasing online and having the tickets electronically makes it a stress free and relaxing way of going to movies. Organizers and volunteers were all pleasant and welcoming. As always Princess of Wales Theatre is beautiful snd magestic. Thanks TIFF and Ticketmaster👍🏻

  • The best!!

by Ali on 2022-09-16Roy Thomson Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Loved talking to other fans in and around the fan zone. We were disappointed that we had to sneak out of the fan zone outside Roy Thomson Hall in order to get to our seats for the movie before they were given to the Rush line. We missed a chance for a selfie with Anna Kendrick, although we heard her speak inside.

  • 1st time at TIFF

by Theresa on 2022-09-16TIFF Bell Lightbox Cinema 1 - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was a bucket list for me for a few years. Finally made it in person and it was greater than I expected it would be! Volunteers are amazing. Access was great. Many wonderful treats along King Street. Red Carpet experiences were wonderful. Saw several stars up close and Q&A’s were highlights to the films. All of my 6 movies did not disappoint! Only wish Kings street could be closed off for the full 10 days. Otherwise, I would highly recommend!!! I will come back. Wish I could have stayed longer.

  • Beyond delight

by Maggie on 2022-09-16Scotiabank Theatre Cinema 1 - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Line up at the theatre was very well organized. People on hand to guide the crowds to the correct entry door. Scanner worked well and everyone I encountered was courteous, friendly and ever so helpful. I saw Theatre of Thought, brilliant documentary..scientific fact over layered with the poetic eccentricity of Herzog and his filmmaker perspective. A film poem? But the most delightful surprise was the appearance on stage pre screening of Werner Herzog giving so generously of his time to talk about his movie. Well done TIFF and thank you.

  • Like going to the cinema

by MFlood on 2022-09-16Royal Alexandra Theatre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Just like going to the cinema. If you don’t go to the premier I’m not sure the point of it all.

by bransey on 2022-09-15Roy Thomson Hall - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

It was an enjoyable story, something that anyone with a sibling can relate to. The question and answer period after the movie could have been a bit longer.

  • Great films, bad administration

by James on 2022-09-14Roy Thomson Hall - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

While I thoroughly enjoyed the films that I saw (especially Aristotle & Dante), the lack of screenings opening weekend of the bigger films limited what I was able to see. There should be regular screenings of all Gala Presentations opening weekend so that people who miss out on Premium showings/premieres still have a chance to go. I realize that they’re staggered throughout tiff but for people coming in for just a weekend because they’re not local they get cut off from seeing the bigger releases. As a member of a subsidiary TIFF film club, it hinders my ability to know which films to show.

  • Best year for Tiff so far

    by K. P. on 2022-09-13Roy Thomson Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Saw a few movies, loved them all, great experience so far. The excitement and fun was nice to see on King Street given the last couple of years.

  • TIFF is world class

by Mont on 2022-09-13Scotiabank Theatre Cinema 1 - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This is my 13th year attending the festival. After 1 year of pandemic and then a year of stripped down TIFF, they came back with a vengeance this year. I found the locations in a more compressed radius which allowed for more easy travel between films allowing me to attend even more. Less time constraints. The fan zones I found to be even more accessible and interactive. Great job TIFF!!!
