We went to see Die Fledermaus, and were really pleasantly surprised by how funny and wonderful it was. The performers were all amazing, and we had a great time. The venue was very nice as well!
A total pleasant experience fillled with lively humour and music. It deserved the standing ovation it received If you have not seen an operetta before, go see one here- its totally affordable and plus the arts need our support more than ever. I was happy to see the theatre full - hopefully this continues in this new year
The operetta was wonderful. Ticketmaster was the pits. Please abolish yourself and let people go back to ordering directly from a box office of theatrical troupe.
No sets! No surtitles! Generally abysmal acting, except for one outstanding young man with excellent enunciation and a big baritone voice. And little stage direction. Actor-singers mostly stood in place. Generally excellent ensemble singing. Good orchestra. But I left at the first intermission. I lived in Manhattan for 20 years and saw the best of New York talent. Call me a New York snob. This was my first exposure to Toronto Operetta Theater-- and my last!
This was a generous offering from the talented TOT performers.The singing was fine and the ambience a rare delight in the city. A hidden treasure, not well advertised. A suggestion: I would have liked to hear a context for every song—what show it was from ,etc.
Alexandra Weintraub was amazing couldn’t take my eyes off her. She was so animated and what a beautiful voice.
It’s impossible to replace the experience of a live musical theater. I’m so glad to be back and to be able to enjoy the show in person.
It was a socially distance evening. So the audience was thin. The actors gave it their all and the story line had lots of humour and sometimes even sorrow.
All aspects of this production screamed “WOW” from the musical production, creative modern costuming, dance, set design, vocal work and direction. The cast was superb having tremendous range, gifted presence and beautifully nuanced presentation extending to leads and all cast members. What a gifted production directed and presented to those of us lucky enough to have secured tickets to this stellar production. Thank you.
Everything was good except the sound system in the venue. Hard to ubderstand the talk between singinh.
Never a dull moment and lots of fun. Never saw an operetta before, but am looking forward to attending another one. The performance was energetic and well done.
I never go to the opera, this was a first for me and I surprised myself. Very impressed, enjoyed every moment. Will return .

Great production! Light hearted, humorous and well acted. Very talented cast! My fav was King Menelaus portrayed by Greg Finney- this man is a natural on stage with great comedic timing. Too bad it was such a short run - I would have gone again! Music was fantastic - well done!
First time ever they show beautiful mix of opera, operetta and musical. Voices are amazing
