Toronto Raptors History

The Toronto Raptors were founded in 1995 as part of the NBA's expansion into Canada. The Raptors have been the only NBA team based in Canada since the 2001–02 season. After acquiring eight-time All-Star Vince Carter in 1998, the Raptors set league-wide attendance records and made the playoffs from 2000 to 2002. Led by Carter, the Raptors earned their first playoff series win in 2001 and advanced to the Eastern Conference semifinals.

The Raptors didn't return to the playoffs until the 2006–07 season, when they won the Atlantic Division title. After Masai Ujiri joined as the team's General Manager in 2013, the Raptors became a consistent playoff team, winning five division titles and having their most successful season in 2018. The following year, during the 2019 playoffs, the Raptors earned their first Eastern Conference title and went on to win their first NBA championship, defeating the Warriors in 6 games.

  • Raptors Win

I am pleased with the seats i had and thought the price was fair. I was from out of town and found it simple to get around to find my seats. The ACC was a amazing structure to check out on its own, and i don't think there is a bad seat in the house.

Great Event! Great Show! Did not like commercials being played. Advertising is fine. Commercials on TV is part of what I wanted to escape by paying big $$$ for a live event. Very disapointed in that.

Always enjoy the Raptors boys, working hard to win and make the fabulous shots, excellent dance pak, entertaining half time with Vanilla Ice, Raptors mascot is hilarious, love him! Jarrett Jack is great and Weims was working it too. OF course Bosh and Bargnani were stars. Missed Hedo and Demar, hope they are playing again soon

  • T.O. Raptors!!!!

by Thatswhatimsaying on 2010-02-01Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Sunday evening at the ACC, the Toronto Raptors put on a wonderful show for everyone at home and in the building!!! CB4 lit up the court as expected, and the crowd was electric. Thanks to Ticketmaster for providing excellent seats at a fair price, and thanks to the Raps for providing the evenings entertainment. Over all, an outstanding experience!

  • Winning Raptors! Great way to spend a Sunday!

by GilCdn on 2010-02-01Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

$12.50 per ticket, great atmosphere at the ACC, free pizza by early 4th quarter, a winning Raptors team (even without Hedo "the BALL" Türkoğlu), what more can you ask for to entertain your family for a Sunday afternoon / evening. The concessions at ACC, despite a bit on the expensive side, taste great! It feels great to be greeted by the friendliest usher at section 318 who always have a great big smile on her face, recognize you, and welcome you back to the ACC! The most important of all, a RAPTORS team that play with confident, share the ball and with a 12-3 home record since December 1st! It is just great for basketball fans in Toronto! FAVORITE MOMENTS: - Bosh collecting an offensive rebound, amidst surrounded by three Pacers, get up for a huge put back jam! - Second best, Jose Calderon ally-hooping to Amir Johnson for a high-flying jam! AWESOME!
