You will never be disappointed attending a Rock game! We were actually cheering (this time only) for the Boston Blazers because my neighbour is on the Blazers. There were 8 of us in total, ranging in ages from 9 to 49, and we all had a blast!!!
Went to see my first Toronto Rock lacrosse game last night. Really enjoyed the fast pace of the game. The crowd really loves this team! Will definitely make plans to see another game.
The first 5 minutes of the game was ridiculous with the amount of fighting. Control your testosterone on a professional team. The 4 goons from each team who decided to start a 'bar brawl' type fight should not be permitted to play in professional sports. It is assault and it was permitted to happen in front of thousands of fans. Lacrosse is a game that a lot of young boys both play and watch. What kind of message does this permitted fighting send to these children? They come to watch the sport of lacrosse being played by their adult lacrosse counterparts and they fight before even playing more that 5 minutes? This is unacceptable, and should be banned the same way Hockey finally did!Once the boxers were out of the game, the game itself was great! They battled it out to the end, lots of fair hits and shoves, but the unsportsman-like conduct was minimal after that, and the game was an 'on-the-edge' of your seat experience from then on. Way to go "Rock" a win for your season opener!!
