  • Not the perfect stage for Mozart but i enjoyed the experienc

by Belkis on 2021-09-28CityView - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

TSO performance was 👍 as usual. Loved the music, the beautiful sky in the background, and the people honking their car horns in applauding the TSO .

  • What a wonderful concept of having a drive in concert!

by Eff on 2021-09-27CityView - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The atmosphere under the stars was a perfect setting to hear beautiful music.

  • The pianist was really amazing

The 1st 10min, TSO/TYSO premier of a new composition didn't go well with me. Similar to Dvorak in some ways but not as good. Both the Tchaikosvki part and the Dvorak part were amazing. They were what we came for and we weren't disappointed.

  • Toronto Symphony Orchestra - an enjoyable evening

by fran63 on 2016-05-10National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

Brahms was wonderful. Beethoven as always was so well done by the TSO. First time hearing Adam Smith - wonderful lead violist. Very moving piece.

  • Chostakovitch was unforgettable.

This was my first live proformance - very impressed. I wouldn't say that Mercure or Beethoven is my favorite composers BUT really liked Chostakovitch. Thought Orchestra did a wonderful proformance.

  • Outstanding!

Outstanding performance! Mozart piano concerto # 20 in Jan's hands was terrific. Such a talent! Requiem is unforgettable too.

  • Great and Ugly Music

by Baowow on 2010-11-22National Arts Centre - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

All great and well-played except Taras Bolba, which I think is ugly music. Why not program something more appealing, like more Slavonic Dances as in the encore.

  • TSO in Ottawa: magnificent presentation

by Meryx on 2010-11-22National Arts Centre - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

We loved each moment of the concert. The Director is so communicative and the pianist was incredible. Hope they come more often to Ottawa! also, the selection of pieces was amazing!
