The game we saw was amazing, a real nailbiter!! Tickets via ticketmaster were a breeze to buy, as have never bought tics online. The seats were awesome. Have absolutely nothing bad to say. We're off to the gold metal worlds in March down Lethbridge way. Hope Alberta gets more curling events here. The TV coverage is wonderful but there's nothing like being there at least once/ event! So enjoyed it all, even if the weather was terrilbe coming from the south it was worth it!!

Venue was nicely set up but music before event was not suited to crowd attending & was very loud. Music during game more suitable. Curling was good & on stream fm coverage was interesting - just like home.

Scotties is the best curling ever

by Glitzy on 2012-02-28Enmax Centrium - Red Deer

The games were great, the team autographs phenomenal, the heartstop lounge and all the volunteers were great. **The Centrium where the curling was held was nice except the staff did not control the smoking. The people were right outside the doors and you had to walk right through the disgusting smell every time you went out or in. They were so close to the doors and the smoke was blowing right into the concourse. That was the most disgusting thing ever and spoiled the whole event for me. I will not attend an event at that place again until they change and follow the Alberta Smoking Laws that were put into effect January, 2008.**

Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Red Deer, Alta

by Peggymartin3 on 2012-02-28Enmax Centrium - Red Deer

Event was extremely well organized. Curling was fantastic and the crowds were friendly and respectful of the curlers. I would have liked the food venue places to be the same in both areas - the curling area and the lounge. Also why not allow people to bring in their own mugs and have coffee/tea put in them. I wasn't allowed to have my travel mug filled but had to buy coffee in a styrofoam or plastic cup. The amount of garbage produced at the Scotties was unbelievable. I would like to see a much "greener" scotties/brier etc from now on.

This was my first Scotties. I usually follow the Men's Worlds Curling Championships. Due to work scheduling. I enjoyed myself.

The Scotties in Red Deer was the best!

by kiko on 2012-02-28Enmax Centrium - Red Deer

I went to all the games on the final weekend and have never watched such great curling. The Heart Stop lounge was a lot of fun and the souvenir selections was second to none. I can't wait till they return to our city(hopefully) in the future.

The "Ice Queens" had a blast!!

by Queens on 2012-02-28Enmax Centrium - Red Deer

I have been to several Scotties events, this being my second in Red Deer and I have to say that they got it absolutely right! The caliber of the curlers, the venue, and the volunteers were all outstanding! As always, Stu did a great job, kept the crowd going and in the Heart Stop Lounge the entertainment was excellent! We had a wonderful time...Way to go Red Deer!

    Scotties showed true competition.

by Trurock on 2012-02-26Enmax Centrium - Red Deer

The competitors were truly professional throughout the game. The strategy of curling to win has evolved over the past 5-10 years to a level that the ordinary competitor would truly not understand.

Never been to a live curling event before. The whole draw seemed to go faster live than it does on tv. It can be a bit challenging to keep track of all four games at once, but that was the fun part of it. Great event!! And best of all was the Heartstop Lounge. Good times!

    Scotties

by Boobit1 on 2012-02-25Enmax Centrium - Red Deer

My only suggestons would be the location of the souvenirs. Thought it a little assuming to put it in the Heartthrob Lounge. Walked the whole building to find souvenirs until I stopped to ask where there where. Then had to be have my ticket scanned once again, just to purchase souvenirs. Thought it was a little tacky, especially if you had children with you.

    Seating is everything

by Dust3 on 2012-02-24Enmax Centrium - Red Deer

The best game for the evening was on the far end of the building from were we where sitting and we could not see it. The other games were boring and over in a hurry. Nothing can be predicted when it comes to sporting events. I quest you just have to pick better seats.

I have been watching curling for years ans was so excited that the Scotties was coming to Red Deer and I would have the opportunity to see it live. I was not disappointed. It was awesome. Now I can't wait to go to the Tim Horton's Brier in Edmonton next year!!!!!
