I was expecting a lot more from the 60s. “ “You’re still a young man” that was the main 1 Was expecting a little more especially the horns.. Guy on the organ could have had a little more play. At this point I would say Oakland Stroke has a better horn section. Loved Cecile.. Great Energetic Choice Opener who we were lucky Enough to see as the Jazz Fest was on. She was a Joy and an exceptional Show on her own!!

  • Holy Funk!

This legendary horn section put on a heckuva' great show, not necessarily a perfect fit for the night with the Steve Miller Band and Journey following, but highly entertaining for sure. Top notch and great as a headlining act, backup, or even a backup horn section for another performer. Lead singer was great too.

Awesome!!! Tower of Power sure didn't disappoint...these guys are still amazing after all these years!! And the new lead singer, Ray Greene is incredible! If you haven't seen these guys in concert, you are missing out!

  • Get the Funk!

by Rickfi on 2014-03-25River Rock Casino Resort - RichmondRating: 5 out of 5

The best horn section in the business. The best funk around. What's not to love?

  • The band is solid! Vocals awesome!

by RJFandD on 2014-03-25River Rock Casino Resort - RichmondRating: 4 out of 5

Greene as new lead singer is outstanding! Class act! Ray on B3 incredible! Horn section amazing! Worth every penny. Only con (if you want to call it that) was that there were no elaborate staging or lighting...but pro is that ticket price was reasonable! As a result you were able to enjoy the band live and in concert without all the staged theatricals!

Even though enduring a bit of adversity, (Larry Braggs being forced to sub out due to unfortunate vision issue), the boys rose to their usual stellar performance level...FANTASTIC would be an understatement!

  • Great Funk Show As Always

by funkydrummer on 2011-02-27River Rock Casino Resort - RichmondRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen Tower 10 plus times and they are always amazing. Recommended to anyone who likes good funk soul grooves! One recommendation to the River Rock Show theater, I found the strobe lights that pointed out to the crowd very distracting and painful to my eyes which gave me a headache for that night and the following day. Food for thought. Cheers!

Solid show - great energy and power to go along with their great musicianship. Tight horn lines and great song selection.

  • Tower of Power certainly is one.

  • TOP better than ever

by Duffr on 2010-07-29House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

TOP played a knockout show at HOB Atlantic City. With the return of Mic Gillette AND a much better guitar player, the band is incredibly tight. What a fun evening.

  • Party with Tower of Power

by Serendipity on 2010-01-05Red Robinson Show Theatre - CoquitlamRating: 5 out of 5

An unforgettable New Year's Eve! Tower of Power have a magical talent of music and vocals that invite all to join in on the fun. The sounds reach the soul and you before you know it you're up scuffling your feet and wiggling your hips!

  • The Tower delivers!!!!!

by jennydiver on 2010-01-04River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 5 out of 5

As usual, another fabulous show from Tower of Power. This band has infectious energy that gets the crowd moving.....doesn't hurt that they have an incredible fan base here in Vancouver.....you will see the same faces at every return engagement, that must mean something!!! Well done guys, and you're right, you should be playing here during the Olympics!

  • Tower of Power was so much fun!

by lambontherun on 2010-01-03River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 5 out of 5

Enjoyed this even so much! The group still has an amazing sound. This was not just an event for the older generation. Was surprised at the number of younger people. Sorry we already had plans for New Years or would have gone to the Dec 31st event.

Loved the show! Tower of Power played lots of new music. The new songs were different than previous albums I have loved and charised. They ended the evening with a few oldie goldies! The crowd was a mix of young but mostly older. Did the music seem a little loud or are we just aging. Recommend the show and would love to see them again! #1 General

We had a great time! Tower of Power is one of my husband's favorite bands and I was overwhelmed with the event - I am now a fan. The venue is awesome - there isn't a bad seat in the house! brings back memories from my youner days. the husband

  • Excellent!

This was my fourth time seeing TOP and, as usual, they left me feeling satisfied and funkified! Larry Braggs has really grown into the gig with his terrific vocals and witty stage patter. It was Rocco, though, that highlighted the evening for me. He was ferocious, and attacked the songs with a particularily snarly attitude. What a sound! What a band!
