    Nostalgia in Future Form

by LousyAct on 2017-06-29Rogers Centre - Toronto

We saw U2 during the 360 tour and loved every minute of it. This tour's focus on the Joshua Tree zeroes in on a certain era of U2, which is either great news or sad news for fans. The album is worth the entire track listing performance, as it is magnificent and somewhat timeless. Even if you aren't enthused about the Joshua Tree album, the band's performance and added imagery and production are worth seeing. U2's concert vision is always unique and utilizes cutting edge technology to enhance the fan experience and performance of the songs, without becoming THE main aspect of the show. Though the narrow focus of the set list may be disappointing for fans longing for more of the group's biggest hits, the entire show flows well and provides another amazing show from one of the biggest bands in the world.

    U2 - Joshua Tree 30th in Boston

by HawkmoonHeath on 2017-06-29Gillette Stadium - Foxborough

The opening act was fantastic, showcasing that the Lumineers are so much more than "Hey, Ho!". Due to the enormous and impressively entertaining screen on the stage, there were no bad seats in the house. U2 did a fantastic job (although sadly it seems that Bono doesn't have the stamina he did in the past) that was extremely entertaining. Highly recommend this tour to any fan!

    Go see this show

by JimbobNY on 2017-06-29Gillette Stadium - Foxborough

I've seen U2 a dozen times and they always put on an amazing concert. So much energy. Joshua Tree is my favourite album ever and they nailed it. So cool to hear songs that I've never heard them do live before.

U2 can see a great show

by Stevetheweave on 2017-06-28Rogers Centre - Toronto

Larry Mullins unmistakable drum intro of Sunday, Bloody Sunday started what was a great show. A stripped down set with an awesome stage wide screen was the setting. They were in fine form and had the crowd in the palm of their hands for the next two hours. Five of their best songs started it off and then the band retreated to the main stage for the Joshua Tree. A very strong encore set finished off the night. Awesome night.

    Fantastic concert!

by jogogreen on 2017-06-28Rogers Centre - Toronto

I've seen U2 Multiple times and they never disappoint. The opening set on the B Stage was one of the best concert intros I've even seen. Slowed down a little with some of the Joshua Tree tunes, then they cranked it up again to close the show. World class performance. Only negative was the venue (Rogers Centre). Cavernous with lousy sound and sightlines.

    U2 was surreal

by Disbitch on 2017-06-28Rogers Centre - Toronto

The concert was fantastic! U2 had the best visuals, along with songs dedicated to marginalized communities, which was wonderful. My only complaint is the sound needed work, which could have been the Roger's Centre's fault. Overall, it was surreal!

    Superb!

U2 put on such an amazing show! They played just about everything I wanted to hear. Bono's voice has not aged at all. Great time!

This was my first time seeing U2 live. It was a great experience hearing these classic songs with the summer breeze blowing through the Rogers Centre open dome. What prevented this from being a 5 star concert, in my opinion, was the pacing of the songs. As much as I love The Joshua Tree album, I felt the energy in the audience really dropped off on the second side cuts. You could see people were getting restless and the final song of the album closing the first set before the encore was somewhat anti-climactic. Things picked up in the encore and it was clear that the majority of people just wanted to hear classic songs they knew. Not sure the album concept worked out for such a large crowd, but it was a blast to be there.

    U2 Rocks the Joshua Tree

    by Love2Run on 2017-06-28Rogers Centre - Toronto

It was an excellent night for a concert, made even better by the fact that is was U2. It was elevated by the fact that they opened the roof, nothing better than an open air concert. It was great hearing the Joshua Tree in its entirety for the simple fact that some one the music has not been part of previous concert set lists. And the "video screen" was absolutely amazing, especially when they played "Where the Streets Have No Name" The only slightly minor thing was that i thought it was a little loud and and a bit distorted at times, but that could also be cause by me age.

30 years later and still great!

by stormy on 2017-06-28Rogers Centre - Toronto

Really enjoyed this show. I saw the Joshua Tree Tour 30 years ago and what I liked most about this show was that you got to hear the entire album plus some great extra songs.

    Amazing!

by demerrier on 2017-06-27Rogers Centre - Toronto

Overall, it was an amazing show! A few of the songs from the Joshua Tree were too slow to be played live but Beautiful Day, Vertigo, and Elevation quickly got the crowd going again.

    Awesome Concert Par Excellence U2

by Sharoni on 2017-06-27Rogers Centre - Toronto

This is the 3rd time I have seen U2 and the 2nd time to see The Joshua Tree Tour. The show was amazing, the sound was perfect and the band is just as good as the first time I saw them on October 3, 1987. Kudos to U2 for staying together and for bringing their magic to us once again. The stage effects worked very well with the images on the 2 big screens interspersed with the images of the band performing and it was like sitting with headphones back in the day listening to the beautiful melodies and seeing the imagery in your head.

    Magical night with U2

    by longtimeU2fan on 2017-06-27Rogers Centre - Toronto

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Joshua Tree was brilliant. Bono, The Edge, Adam and Larry are still at the top of their game and continue to appreciate their fans. Looking forward to the next concert! The only negative is the venue - The Rogers Centre (aka Skydome) is not a great venue for concerts. Also it was very confusing and disorganized to try and get in using the credit card swipe entry as opposed to printed tickets.

    U2 is my generations Beatles

    by U2MyBeatles on 2017-06-27Rogers Centre - Toronto

The Rogers Center is probably the worst venue to hold a concert, especially to showcase a band of U2's caliber. Never again shall I return to the Rogers Center in Toronto for a concert. In saying that, U2 did not disappoint us at all. From the first note "Sunday Bloody Sunday" to the last note of " I Will Follow" the boys from Dublin proved again that they are my generations Beatles. Thank you for the music and memories of great shows

    NEVER DISAPPOINT!

by AnCatDubh on 2017-06-27Rogers Centre - Toronto

Everything about U2 in their live element is spectacular. What else would one expect from such a well oiled machine? I loved the backdrop. It reminded me of a blood red sky, a symbol of pain and suffering, which to me is all too apparent in these turbulent times. Shadowed by arms of the Joshua tree, symbolizing hope, as if praying to God for his blessing upon us. The Edge was on top of his game as usual, and the haunting sounds that come as a result of his gifted fingers, entranced me. Bono always engages the crowd so naturally. One can't help but be lured in by his advances. By the last encore you find yourself hoarse and can barely whisper a sound after belting out those familiar anthems all night long. It will go down as one of my favourite shows of all time. Thanks Bono, Edge, Larry and Adam for the memory : *

    U2 was amazing!

by erna on 2017-06-27Rogers Centre - Toronto

WoW, WoW, WoW!! I have seen U2 many times and I have most recently seen The Joshua Tree Tour when they stopped in Pittsburgh on June 7, 2017, but this show was by far the best I have seen. I was standing fairly close to the small stage on Larry's side and my view was incredible for the entire show. The visual "effects" and accompanying videos that were played during each song were fantastic and added to the performance of the band. Bono, The Edge, Larry and Adam all appeared to be enjoying the moment and the audience loved being with them for a couple of hours. I loved every minute of it!

    Great show!

    by Shakti1 on 2017-06-27Rogers Centre - Toronto

The first half of the show was amazing! They opened with Sunday Bloody Sunday, and it was hit after hit after that, bringing back good memories from my younger years :) Perhaps because I was not familiar with most of the songs they played in the second half that I did not find it as engaging. Their encore was great starting with Beautiful Day and Bono captured my heart again by acknowledging women and the important role they play in his life and in society. All in all, an unforgettable show!!
