Good experience!

Paid for the best seats in the house but we didn't walk away with that impression. I am not sure if it was our position or that most of the choir members were too quiet.
My favourite choral composition (Faure's Requiem), at my favourite concert hall (The Orpheum) by my favourite choir (Vancouver Chamber)!
The VCC and accompanying choirs did a moving and beautifully nuanced rendition of a choral favourite.
I just loved this performance. My favourite was the opening piece - so serene, so tranquil, finding the beauty in Christ's Passion. The middle piece was quite good too and provided texture to the evening and the last piece gave familiarity with the popular Faure Requiem. The favourite was the smaller ensemble at the beginning but again the larger group gave the evening more texture and variety. This was my first live performance of choral music and I just loved the performance.
An enjoyable afternoon. Lovely pieces were sung. The Charlie Brown segment was enjoyed by all in our multi-generational group.
This was a great outing with our friends and family for Christmas. We LOVED the youth choir...they were a special start to the night. And the actors that played the various Peanuts characters were wonderful...we especially liked the actor playing Pigpen, Snoopy, and Linus. Well done!
Great performance, with great soloists and orchestra :) One of the best Christmas events in the city!!
We enjoyed the event very much! I loved pretty much all show, although in the program a duet was announced and never happened that was a little desspointted. Other than that was good.
They did an amazing job. I appeared to be a smaller orchestra and smaller choir but could they ever sing.
It warmed my heart thoroughly. I came home aglow and it has lasted. A real celebration of Christmas. Continue to sing so beautifully.
Loved hearing a chamber choir perform The Messiah. The Vancouver Chamber Orchestra also created an intimate setting, and they didn't overpower the harpsichord!
Very nice presentation of the Messiah! Handel had originally planned this for a small ensemble rather than a large orchestra and this performance struck a nice middle ground. The choir was amazing, the bass, too, as was the soprano (though her dress might have been better!) and the mezzo (who had a very nice dress on). The tenor was so so. Yet we were all mesmerized by the end.
No introduction to evening or soloists. Stage decor was so minimal that it stood out as lackluster. Certainly not the presentation I was hoping for.
They were simply magnificent, especially in the second part of the evening.
Excellent concert, loved it. The Lauridsen piece was beautifully sung and played by the orchestra. I will never forget it. Very moving piece!!
The first hour, featuring Mozart's Requiem was wonderful. The soloists all had magnificant voices, and the blending of them was seamless. BUT...then Lux Aerterna, by Morten Lauredisen was even better. With the cello and the rest of the Chamber Orchestra combined with the voices of the choir. A remarkable experience
I believe the world of Baroque music is a spiritual place for us all to visit as often as possible.
Thoroughly enjoyed this concert. Both the choir and the chamber orchestra were top notch..
The family members for whom I bought the tickets for were well entertained and they had commented that it was fantastic.
