I had a fantastic time! The vibe was great! The portapotties were surprisingly fairly clean. The only thing that was annoying was the fact that it was suggested we bring sunscreen, yet it got confiscated at security. I was not happy about having to throw away my brand new $20 bottle of sunscreen. Otherwise it was great!
insanely littttt never been to a rave before never liked this kind of music before but the turn up was realll. Great music sick beats great energy. Had an amazing time will be attending next year!
First time at VELD as I've always been to DIgital Dreas. Downsview loacation is really bad as the location was not meant for events like Ontario Place. The surface were uneven, lots of muddy spots, line up to get in was also quite chaotic. Sony stage was on an incline on grass and mud in a small tent. Parking was alright but it was in an uneven grass field where a lower car would not make it through. Not for me!
Great lineup great music. The facility just keeps getting worse and worse. Washrooms were terrible as usual water stations ran out of water couldn't wash your hands. Food lineups were long with no security to control people budding in. A Terrible venue for first time visitor and ladies. Seriously Ticketmaster you charged a facility/grounds fee but it was still so shit. Like cmon people spend so much money at least you can provide with proper toilets and enough water to wash hands after and more food vendors. If it wasn't for music I would never recommend anyone. I saw people passed out because of dehydration.
I went to Veld Music Festival in summer 2016 and it was INCREDIBLE. Could not believe I got to see deadmau5, Flume, Jai Wolf, Galantis, San Holo, Majid Jordan, SG Lewis and Yellowclaw all in one weekend! I had a blast exploring the festival grounds and all the activities on-site with my crew and it was definitely the highlight of summer 2016. As a huge music fan, I'm definitely looking forward to Veld 2017 with the lineup's diversity. Can't wait to see Future, Major Lazer, Migos, Madeon, Lil Uzi Vert, Medasin, Nicole Moudaber, Tchami and Ookay.
This festival RULES! I've attended every year, and even though there have been some minor bumps (a cancellation due to weather) I still always enjoy my time. I just purchased tickets during the pre-sale and super excited for the 2017 lineup. Tiesto, Major Lazer, Future... YES, it's different and not solely focussed on EDM, but it's a music festival and I can tell VELD is starting to mature and by adding a diverse lineup for music lovers. I don't care what anyone says.. .this is going to be a fantastic show!
Lineup looks awesome this year! Can't wait to see Ookay and Madeon!
I love this festival each year and the variety of different artists. Nothing beats live sets under the sun or the stars :)
VELD has been bringing Toronto the best-of-the-best when it comes to EDM music for the past 5 years! My girlfriends and I always have the ultimate time at VELD and look forward to it every single summer!!! It's the ONLY festival you need to go to. We also can't wait for the new hip-hop and trap artists at VELD in 2017! Especially FUTURE. Going to be wild!
Last year was my 4th year going to Veld with a close group of friends and we couldn't have had a better time. DJs were great, weather was awesome, lines moved quick and we got to see Deadmau5 unveil his new cube! I'll be back this August for sure. See you on the field!!!
This will be my 6th year in a row going to Veld. Best festival in Toronto!
Always a great time! Really excited for Tiesto, Loud Luxury, Dzeko, Future, and Major Lazer this year
First time last year, one of the most amazing experiences of my life.
Veld was amazing and the DJs were absolutely great. The only thing that could've made the event better would be quicker customer service. A friend waited in line for 3 hours to get his wristband from will call. The lineups for beer and food were also gigantic. I recommend adding more small vendor booths where you can get drinks or a bite to eat. Aside from that, the lights show and setup was super fun on the grass. Would totally go again next year!
There always seems to be a long wait to get in to toronto music festivals, and this event was no different. Security were moving slowly, not effectively. Once you finally get in the waits for drinks or anything is ridiculous. The bathrooms were so unorganized. There is no separate in and out so everyone pushes each other out of the way. Definitely not safe overall it was fun but don't think I'd go again.
Amazing! The entire event was great! I would highly recommend the event to anyone who enjoys popular edm music.
Veld was an absolutely amazing event. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys new and popular edm music.
Held outside of venue for 2.5 hours due to "rain" once the rain started let in. Security made everyone get out of the line up and then re-line up. Not fair to those who arrived at 8am for noon doors. One security guard was very rude. Many sets cut short due to the "rain" and delayed start.
Good luck if you ever need to pickup your wristbands at Veld. First off it was completely unorganized, people were shoving to get to the booth, no lines formed, stood for nearly 2 hours cramped up like sardines just to pick up a wristband. Security had to get on the megaphone and tell the crowd to back up (which didn't really help and caused more pushing). Sure, I could have purchased tickets to Veld earlier but hearing from others in line, 2 weeks to a month ahead is still not enough time to receive it in the mail (thereby, you'd have to lineup anyway).
