It was my first time and I will now go every year!! It was put together so nicely and it was really fun! Next year you should put more free water stations for everyone :)
Packed unlike any other festival, Washroom was a bottle neck but portipoties were empty... hour long line for everything including food ( try getting one meal in 12 hours) especially when set times dont wait.
The whole show was great. Two days of fun!!! Great atmosphere....everyone in a great mood! Would do it again.
This was my first time attending veld and I know for a fact I would definitely go again!! The lineup of DJs was live and the crowd was like a community. On the first day I went early with my friends to do some activities on blowup structures and then got ready to party at the main stage for Galantis and Steve Aoki!! On the second day, I got there when it was pourring rain. At first, for safety reasons, no one was allowed in but afterwards, it stopped and we all ran inside. The second day lineup was so lit, with my highlights being the chainsmokers, kygo, and MARTIN GARRIX. I made a new group of friends to add onto my group of friends for those three songs too. The people there are honestly amazing.
This was my first rave and I can never forget this weekend. Kygo, Flume, Martin Garrix and bunch of others KILLED it!!! I loved it a lot
I ordered my ticket on ticketmaster and was directed to pick it up at will call at the festival. When I got to the festival the will call line was jam packed and not moving at all. I was able to squeeze into the middle where I stood packed in like a sardine for about an hour and a half. Then when I reached the front of the line their computer system crashed! Worst experience ever getting into a festival! Luckily the djs were great as always, but this system was a huge failure by ticketmaster and Veld both. Not impressed at all.
My friend and I got there for day 1, at around 5pm. We had to pick up our tickets at the Will Call box office pick up line. We waited for 4hrs. We didn't end up attending because of the ridiculous line. It was unfortunate because we could not get a refund and waited in line for nothing. In the line security that were with VELD Would allow people to cut in line if they gave him $50 per person. It was very unorganized. Very disappointed.
Although I thought first day was kinda crappy cause of the headliner , the weather was phenomenal . 2nd day the weather sucked in the beginning , but the performers were amazing . VELD this year really kicked butt . Great way to celebrate 5 years of doing this . Congrats guys ! You nailed it .
event it self was very well organized. Music was good.... Food and Alcohol were expensive.... what i didnt like were all the lil girls running around w/ hardly any clothing on.... i'm sorry i'm not interested in going to a festival to look at children barly clothed.... totally reached my ass cheeks quota for a lifetime!! but im sure all the perverts out there will see nothing wrong w/ this.... enjoy !!!!! Definitely not for me....VERY Disturbing!!!! .... First and LAST time EVER going to this event!!!!!
The event over all was great, no cancelations this year, Martin Garrix' closing set on the second night was amazing, the best part of the whole festival. The washroom areas need to be much better organized, maybe add another GA washroom area, Deadmau5 could've been better this year... But overall, GREAT WEEKEND!!!
Veld was awesome! The lineup was great; especially Jai Wolf, Flume, Martin Garrix, Kygo, and Chainsmokers. Security was great and the transportation was so easy for a festival this size.
SUMMER 2016! Was an amazing time, so many amazing artists. You definitely need to try and experience new artists.
The full 2 days event were just AAAAmazing ! Unforgettable and easly the best event I ever went to. Both days had such great artists and the vibes were so good. Set up was great; didn't wait in line for washrooms, and fearly good to get drinks. For sure going back next year
The organization of this event needs a bit of work if I'm going to attend this again. The drink selection was terrible! Only Bud light and Bud light lime, jager and vodka shots palm bays…they were way too ridiculously expensive for me to continue drinking the terrible choices they made... not to mention that the event didn't take ANY cash so the line ups took forever. I could have had my first born in that lineup and raised it by the time I was able to get a drink. If you're trying to get it to be cashless.. there has to be a better system. Takes forever for people to enter their pins and cards one by one. The washroom situation was a disaster as well. If you're going to have only 1 section for washrooms for GA then please have two entrances/exits and maybe a security guard rushing people along who stand near the entrances. It was insane all of us trying to enter and exit out of the same spot. I'd also like to suggest a venue change. It's so dusty and to take transit up there is a mission and a half.
Once we actually got in it was great, waited 3 hours in line at a very poorly organized will call for ticket pick up. Felt bad for the security guards it wasn't their fault it was chaos whoever organized thousands of people to pick up tickets from about 4 will call windows screwed up. Will probably go to digital dreams instead next year.
I've been to Veld since its inception and each year it becomes bigger and better. Veld is hands down the largest electronic music festival in Canada, with top tier talent and stage production that never fails to impress. Can't wait for this year!
If you want to dance all day long and meet hundreds of outgoing, friendly, and overall amazing people then VELD IS FOR YOU. I loved every minute.
Been going to this event since it started 5 years ago. Every year it gets bigger and crazier. The stage is unreal and its always the world's best DJs. The weather last year was a bummer but the evacuation was actually really smooth and the staff were very helpful. Would rather be safe than sorry!
Always look forward to this weekend! Dancing in the sun to some of the best DJs around!!
Been to VELD every year and its always amazing! Already bought my ticket this year and cant wait to see The Chainsmokers and Kygo!
