About

“MORE THAN A BROADWAY SHOW. A CELEBRATION OF MUSIC THAT TRANSFORMED AMERICA!”
– CBS Sunday Morning

It began as one man's story… became everyone's music… and is now Broadway's musical. MOTOWN THE MUSICAL is the true American dream story of Motown founder Berry Gordy’s journey from featherweight boxer to the heavyweight music mogul who launched the careers of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson and many more. Motown shattered barriers, shaped our lives and made us all move to the same beat. Featuring classic songs such as “My Girl” and “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” experience the story behind the music in the record-breaking smash hit MOTOWN THE MUSICAL!

Motown was an amazing production! The vocals were outstanding, the acting spot on, and the production overall was first class! We thoroughly enjoyed the whole show and would recommend that everyone go see it. This is definitely one of the best we have seen! The story of Motown was very informative as well.

We really enjoyed the show, the quality of the singers was top notch, just excellent. We had goosebumps over and over during the show. Learned a lot as well for the story of how it was created.

    Nice evening out

by Altacammy on 2018-02-18Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I thought the music was great but many times they just sang parts of very poplar songs. I would have preferred less songs and the complete song of the ones they sang. For the first 10 minutes of the show, the music was so loud it became undiscernible. After about ten minutes it was good.

    Motown was an average musical.

. There were some fantastic voices in this production, and all of the cast did a great job . Maybe because of my age I didn't appreciate a lot of the music (which I found too loud),

    MoTown a Time Warp

by CajunStar on 2018-02-17Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

For those of us who grew up during this time period, this was a nostalgic trip back in time. My wife and I would have liked more songs sung from beginning to end. The show reminded us of the many incredible artists and talent from this time period. A deserving tribute to all those artists who contributed their talents and allowed us to join them on their journey. Felicitation a tous.
