We purchased the tickets for Waitress because it was advertised starring Katharine McPhee, but apparently she had an emergency and had to fly home. The stand-in for Miss McPhee was enjoyable but we didn't pay the premium ticket costs to see her. The 2 star rating is not a reflection of her performance, but more with the let down that Katharine McPhee was absent.

We were big fans of the television show "Smash" so when we seen the signs for "Waitress with Katherine McPhee" we had to go just to see her. She was amazing but the vocals from the rest of the cast were outstanding too. The story line was entertaining and the songs were wonderful. I have been to lots of show and find the ones you know nothing about are sometimes the best. We went to Aladdin the night before and thought it was good but the vocal performances in Waitress made the singers in Aladdin sound like American Idol rejects. If you want to see a great show and hear vocals what make the hair on the back of your neck stand up go see Waitress with Katherine McPhee. Spend the $12 for the Oreo pie it is terrific too!
