  • Enthralling

The performance by the members of Wardruna was a masterclass in the grandness of simplicity. The orientation of the stage gave every musician their time in the spotlight without detracting from the whole. The accoustics of Meridian Hall brought the music to a level one could not achieve with convential listening means, and exceeded my expectations. I would not hesitate to see Wardruna perform at every conceivable opportunity. Magnificent.

They are truly expert musicians that everyone should experience live. Einar Selvik gave such a moving speech about the afterlife and how music is healing. The day right after passed away, this experience made me very emotional and healing. Thank you Wardruna. 🖤

Wardruna is the best musical group in the entire world. It's such a beautiful experience to be in their presence in person. Everything was such an emotional experience with them. Would definitely come see them again and everytime.

  • Great Performance!

Absolutely loved the performance given by Wardruna! Well worth the wait and I had goosebumps the entire time. Only complaints were that the seats were narrow and hardly any leg room. Also had a little difficulty finding our seats. First employee we asked wasn’t very helpful, just pointed in a general direction.

An amazing experience, what a show! Thanks a lot for this incredible performance. It was nice to hear about the open-minded and generous vision embodied in their music with Einar discourse, just to remember that the Nordic folk genre shouldn’t and mustn’t be used for identity purposes or false pretexts. Amazing!!!

It was a powerful and deeply emotional experience. To see and hear them perform is truly beyond words. One of the very best shows I've seen.

From the first beat of the drums and the first blowing of the horns to Einars finale of Snake pit poetry... I was spellbound! Any show from here on out this year will have some damn big boots to fill.... What a magical night!

  • Wardruna Were Fantastic!

This is one of the best bands to see live; they have an amazing energy and the authentic instruments really add to the atmosphere. Beautiful compositions are performed perfectly. Einar's voice is unwavering and Lindy's voice just fills the room and truly gave me goosebumps! The merchandise being sold was very reasonably priced and I managed to buy a few items. Everyone I was with was impressed and the other fans were almost all kind and respectful. I hope to have the chance to see them again one day!

  • Worth the price.

For the last 5 years I've been on a huge Viking kick on account of the popular tv show on the History Channel and literally bought my ticket the night before the concert based on the opening 10 seconds of a live YouTube clip. I've never heard of this band nor listened to any of their music before, but for $35 I was more than happy and willing to blindly go in on the unique live experience. And it was as unique and an experience as I had anticipated. The crowd was REALLY into it, as they came dressed in Viking wear (men and women alike). The band performed for about an hour and 20 minutes, which I found to be on the short side, but for a 6 piece band and at that price you definitely got your money's worth and were left wanting more. Though the idea of a more historic and culturally ingrained musical tradition may not appeal to people with specific musical tastes, if one were to ever challenge themselves to be open minded and allow themselves to enjoy something new - this should not disappoint.

This concert was absolutely amazing. I went because they are my fiancee's favourite and I ended up loving it as well. I was so impressed with their voices, the lighting that they used to their advantage. I loved when they spoke and even gave us an encore! I really hope they come back again because I would love to experience them again.

  • Wardruna were amazing!

When Wardruna announced their short North American Tour, Toronto wasn't included. But the high demand for their Montreal concert has prompted the band to add a 2nd Montreal show as well as adding a Toronto show, which would be the last show of their first ever North American Tour. Wardruna took the stage at 8:30 PM and played for just over 90 minutes. The band played without taking a break until near the end, where Einar spoke to the crowd before playing the final two songs of the night (Helvegen and Snake Pit Poetry). Very interesting and unique experience with the band playing with the oldest of Nordic instruments as well as lyrics written in Norwegian, Old Norse and Proto-Norse. Who knows when they will be back in Toronto. For now, I will enjoy that special night. SKAL!!!
