The 2 year wait was worth it. From start to finish, the music soaked in to my soul. The richness, the everything. So thankful to have experienced such a treasure.
Lovely evening at the amazing Orpheum theatre. Band was late coming on, but well worth the wait and the encores. Show lasted about 1hr40mins. The music just really resonated for me - literally and physically. My chest felt like it was like it was a drum when they started! just incredible. Wouldn't hesitate to see Wardruna live again -
I am going to be completely honest this show blew my mind. I have loved Wardruna for a long time and there music give me tingles, but seeing them live is a whole other experience. The energy and passion that he puts into his music is easy caught by everyone in the audience. I hope someday I will get the chance to see them again live.
The concert was amazing. Wardruna surpassed the high expectations I had for the show. Can't wait for the next tour.
A phenomenal performance (of course), with what should have been a stunning atmosphere - the Orpheum is unrivalled in vancouver as a venue of that size…. It should have been an enthralling performance, but unfortunately MANY people decided they needed to watch the show through their iPhone screen, and record the whole performance. Wtf?!? Do people not realize that their glowing screen is a total distraction, and no one is going to care about your Instagram story of a band you saw. Your followers will probably think you are a total asshole for ruining the fellow concert attendees experience, actually. If you need to take a quick pic for social media, do it and then put the phone away and enjoy! But not with the flash on, as a few people chose to at Wardruna.
As a Wardruna fan for a long time I could not believe their interaction with Vancouver compared to Toronto. They did not great their fans. Looked like they where mad at Vancouver. No opening act. Show started very late. Strobe effects very distracting and no warning for people with disabilities. Overall their performance was rushed and lacked emotion. Unlike the Wardruna which I came to know and love. I am a very disappointed fan.
What an experience, I loved every second of the concert! Wardruna's music is deep, beautiful and it touches the soul. I'd love to seem them many times again.
they were everything i was hoping them to be ~ the entire experience was deeply transportative and meaningful. I only wish that there had been communication about the amount and kinds of flashing lights prior as this aspect was distressing for the photosensitive viewing I was there with. A future consideration for the band or venue! <3
The band was great BUT people should not be allowed to drink beer and wipe during event ..the whole time there was a moving back and force to the washroom crowd ,disrespectful to those who are listening and to those who are playing .
