From start to finish a fabulous show. He sang new and old stuff and more than lived up to previous shows. If given the chance to go see Al, by all means GO!

The concert started at 6:30 and the opening band (kirby krakle) played for 1hr and they were terrible, the most applause they got was when they sung take on me by ah-ha, so not even one of their own songs. Then we had to wait from 7:30 to about 8:15 before weird al came out. So the first 2 hours of the concert sucked which is why I did not rate this concert 5 stars but when weird al came out, it made up for everything. He was AWESOME!!!! Him and the band put so much into it, they sung old and new weird al songs and did costume changes in between songs and so you weren't bored while waiting they had al tv playing which was super funny. He sang for 2 hours solid and did a great encore. I totally recommend this for weird al fans, you may just have to just suffer though the first part but totally worth it.

  • Weird Al, a career of parody

    by Er3s on 2013-04-28Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

I Absolutely the best concert I've ever seen. Al does what most artists try: staying relevant and poke fun at celebrity and the music industry without being cruel or rude

  • Entertaining Giggle Fest!

by Bittylicious on 2013-04-28Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Joking around, tons of costume changes, and crowd antics made the show quite entertaining.

  • Weird Al puts on an excellent show.

Great show he never slows down and many costume changes that never take away from the shows pacing.

  • Weird Al is amazing!

Except the opening guy wasn't very good, and weird al didn't even play like a surgeon.

  • So much fun. SO MUCH.

I'd like to start off by saying that I have seen several concerts. Not dozens, but more than five. Some of them have been very big names. And this was possibly the best of them all. I had more fun here than at Bon Jovi. I don't know exactly how long Weird Al has been singing, but he still sounds superb. He hasn't lost his voice at all. He can still kick higher than his head while playing an accordian and singing bizarre lyrics at the top of his lungs. He went through so many costume changes I lost track, and just when I thought I couldn't enjoy it any more, he'd start up another song that I'd forgotten about, and it just kept getting better. Long story short, my cheeks still hurt from laughing the next day. I would go see his show again in a heartbeat, no questions asked.

Outstanding show! He and his band are amazing, and gave it their all!

  • One of the best.

by MaraC on 2013-04-28Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Easily in my top three best concerts I've ever been to. I've seen him before, and he was even better this time around. He played a lot of old classics, and some new ones as well. The man has insane energy, and he's a blast to watch. It was my friend's first concert ever, and she was downright giddy. We all had fun, and I'd see him again in a heartbeat. And Kirby Krackle were a hell of a lot of fun, and the guys were really friendly, too. They got two new fans from that concert, that's for sure.

As an icon in pop culture, Al has remained relevant and current with the times. He's a great performer (completes many costume changes and dances on stage/in the crowd). He's very friendly and obviously really enjoys what he does.

  • Weird Al not just for nerds

by mangezmoi on 2013-04-28Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Weird Al Yankovic is an awesome talent. His writing, his performing, his stage presence, is amazing. Total energy and entertainment for two solid hours, with lots of great costumes and a great band. If you can appreciate his parodies of great songs, along with his costumes and performance antics, you don't have to be a huge fan to totally enjoy this show.

  • Weird Al was unforgettable!!!!!!!

  • Weird Al was great!

Weird Al's concert was wonderfully hilarious! My 9 year old son really enjoyed it. The only thing that disappointed us was that we could not meet Weird Al, no matter how we tried.

Weird Al in concert combines both live music and video footage. Al is a pretty good singer in person, sounds just like his songs on Cd/video. Very entertaining concert. A must see for Weird Al fans.

  • Weird Al was superb!

by jschiavoni on 2012-10-14MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

I've always been a fan of parodies since Allan Sherman in the 60s and Spike Jones before him and when I was first introduced to Weird Al in the 80s I thought he was great. The show was the absolute best and very energetic. 2 hours non-stop. I'll be waiting for him to come back.
