WICKED, the Broadway sensation, looks at what happened in the Land of Oz…but from a different angle. Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another girl, born with emerald-green skin—smart, fiery, misunderstood, and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships…until the world decides to call one “good,” and the other one “wicked.”
With a thrilling score that includes the hits “Defying Gravity,” “Popular” and “For Good,” WICKED has been hailed by The New York Times as “the defining musical of the decade.” Time Magazine cheers, “if every musical had the brain, the heart, and the courage of WICKED, Broadway really would be a magical place.”
From the first electrifying note to the final breathtaking moment, WICKED—the untold true story of the Witches of Oz—transfixes audiences with its wildly inventive story. It will send your spirits soaring to heights you’ll never forget.

I really enjoyed the show but found that there were screw too many songs (yes I realize it was a musical). I found some parts to be quite funny and laughed several times. The story was well done. The set was great. My husband absolutely hated it (he went for me). Haha! Thanks!
What an amazing show!!! Music was wonderful and the acting was great. This is my second time I've seen this show as well as my children. I brought my mom for her first time and she loved it. I have recommend it to friends. A great evening of entertainment.
I loved Wicked, it went thru the many dynamics of relationships, mainly how tricky female relationships can be and sometimes what is in our hearts is not truly what our actions show. It was funny and sad and dramatic and beautiful. The singing was impecable, loved it, loved the show.
The sets and costumes were wonderful and the lead singer had an amazing voice, however the script & plot was horribly cheesy and all the songs all sounded the same. There was very little differentiation in melodies of the tunes. When the chorus sang, unfortunately the words were often lost, making the plot even worse to follow. We were expecting better and were disappointed ..and we're usually very easy to please! For the cost of the ticket, I did not think it was value for money, and could not recommend this event.
it was awesome took my 13 yr old granddaughter and she was in awe both enjoyed it, loved iy
Excellent! thoroughly enjoyed the night. Would recommend the musical to friends.
Incredible show from beginning to end! Talented cast, beautiful costumes. Would go again in a heartbeat!
I took my 17 year old daughter to see Wicked on Wednesday. The show was amazing. What a talented cast! Galinda/Glinda stole the show.
I am a musical fan and was really looking forward to this, having never seen it. I kept waiting for that ah ha moment , but it never came. I thought it was just me, but there were six of us who went and all of us felt the same. We all found it hard to hear the enunciation and just found the whole thing flat. There are some musicals I would see again and again ....this is definitely not one of them. For the price of the ticket $120.00, each, it feel well short of expectation.
I was sooo looking forward to taking my mother to see this play ... it was so well advertised on both radio and television so I totally jumped on taking my Mom to the matinee. My sister, who lives in Qualicum, was really disappointed she couldn't join us, however, as it turned out, thank heaven she didn't take the day off, let alone the expense to travel to the Mainland. Our seats, as to view of the stage, were great ... it was the sound quality that was totally a problem. When the "two witches" were singing alone to each other, it was clear and understandable. When the scenes involved numerous, or all, of the actors, neither of us could understand what they were saying - thus we were not able to even follow the context of the play. To be honest ... we discussed how much we were missing and, sadly, walked out at the intermission.
I just enamored with just how great a production like this could be. The set, actors, singing, orchestra, and costumes were number one. I would recommend this musical to just about anyone willing to see a brilliant performance like this!!!
I found all the songs sounded the same and it was very hard understanding what they were singing.
I very much enjoyed the play - Actually more than expected I don't enjoy singing performers who feel that the object is to sing at the top of their voice all the time, and turn it in to a screaming contest(some of you may relate to that). A good number of people I spoke to after I saw the show told me the same...and that's why they weren't thinking of going - One person even told she turns the mute button on when the advertising comes on. That's really too bad because I didn't feel that was the case-It happens, but appropriately timed and spaced out. Others are under the impression that it's the music and songs from the Wizard of Oz all over again...and it's not.The costumes and set are amazing and the performance is flawlessly executed...especially the two main characters. Loved the twist they but on the story.
We were very disappointed with the sound. All of the people sitting around us and ourselves could not understand the words sung, especially if more than one person was singing. The usher agreed she could not understand the words. We sat in the dress circle. I was so excited to see Wicked and do not know what the storyline was. A lot of money spent for the disappointment.
Definately felt like we were watching on Broadway- the performances were top notch as the performers made each characters their own. Lavish costumes and lush background all make musical treat.
I've been wanting to watch Wicked for a long time. Maybe my expectations were too high but I was unpleasantly surprised. I expected Wicked to be darker and more dramatic. It was very much similar to a Disney production - now I understand why the masses love it. I found the characters personalities inconsistent throughout the play. The singing wasn't anything mind blowing. More so, the set had a ridiculous dragon on top that had nothing to do with anything. All that being said, the plot was interesting when you think about the underlying message, that's why it received three stars. I also liked how OZ characters were introduced, I liked the strength of the "witch", I also thought the costumes were great.
The singing! The dancing! The costumes! The lighting!
A couple of mom took our teenage daughters to see Wicked for the first time. We all love broadway musicals, and were not disappointed by this production. The actors were great, of course Both witches stole the show. Glinda was especially witty! The munchkin land characters costumes were amazing and different! We all know and love the original Wizard of Oz, so to see this perspective about the witches was great storyline. All in all a fantastic production and very entertaining evening.
We had an amazing time! Wicked is delightful... funny, warm, touching and exciting. LOVED our girls night out. Kara Lindsay absolutely stole the show. Her comedic timing and inflection is perfect. I would have gladly seen the show again and again.
