    Bombers vs Calgary

by ruas29 on 2009-07-11Canad Inns Stadium - Winnipeg

Pretty good seats in the upper deck, east grandstand. Seems more people in the section were interested in beer and chatting than the football game, but no problems. Concessions at the stadium are terrible, but at least the trough in the men's room keeps things moving in the washroom. As for the game, it was great, nice to see a Bombers team play with that kind of emotion and heart once again!

    Stomped the Stamps

by tekazgtr1984 on 2009-07-11Canad Inns Stadium - Winnipeg

The Blue came out with grit and heart. All three phases of the team played 110% and made the '08 Grey Cup Champs look like pure chumps.

    Big Blue Rule

by kpcool on 2009-07-11Canad Inns Stadium - Winnipeg

The big blue home opener didn't disappoint. Friday night in July at Canad Inns stadium is always a good time....especially when the bombers dominate. The only issue I have is when they close all the concessions at the end of the third qaurter?? Everyone is having a good time sipping a few cold ones, and before you know it the beer stand is closed?? It's actually pretty stupid if you ask me, they're loosing out on tons of cash that they could make.

    Bombers stomp the Stamps

by petere3a on 2009-07-11Canad Inns Stadium - Winnipeg

A good game for a team that has really been under the local microscope. The defence has been particularly impressive so far, creating turnovers that puts the offense in good positions. They will only get better when Doug Brown, the monster up the middle, gets back in the line-up. LeFors will get better, too, as the offense comes together. He got lucky a few times last night, as he was forcing a few passes to the receivers; the Calgary DBs only managed to hang on to one of them, but when they did, there was a huge swing in the momentum of the game. Fortunately, the defence was able to snuff that with the 3rd pick off Burris that was run back the other way for 6. Eve with last week's loss, there would seem to be cause for optimism, and maybe all the shuffling that Coach Kelly did was with good reason after all.
