Winnipeg Jets History
The Winnipeg Jets were founded in 1997 as the Thrashers, and began play in the 1999–2000 NHL season, spending 11 seasons in Atlanta and making the playoffs once in 2006-2007. In 2011, the franchise was sold to True North Sports and Entertainment, which relocated the team to Winnipeg and adopted the name of the city's original franchise in the World Hockey Association, the Jets.
Major league hockey dates back to 1972 in Winnipeg, which was home to one of the founding franchises of the WHA and one of four (along with Quebec, Hartford and Edmonton) to join the NHL when the leagues merged in 1979. The original Jets moved to Phoenix in 1996 and became the Phoenix Coyotes (then the Arizona Coyotes, who were in play from 1994 to 2024). In the 14 seasons that the Jets have been in Winnipeg, they’ve made eight playoff appearances, including a run to the Western Conference Finals in 2018.
In 2016, the team established the Winnipeg Jets Hall of Fame, with the "Hot Line" trio of Anders Hedberg, Bobby Hull and Ulf Nilsson as the inaugural inductees. Recent inductees include Teemu Selänne and Teppo Numminen.

Great atmosphere, great seats, awesome fans… Go Jets Go!!!!
We’ve gone to Jets games before but this was the first time a friend from Utah was in. He totally enjoy the game. Section 320 Row 12 was electric. We are vegan and the options were very limited in the canteen area. However, this time we actually saw a placard advertising on Burrito 2 Go that they had plant based crumbles and vegan cheez. We were blown away. We ordered three wraps and they were incredible. As well, they virgin caesers are delicious. Couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable afternoon. Plus we won and Scheifele scored two. Best day. Keep it up, True North.
The Jets venue has a lot of options for drinks and food, does get a bit congested when trying to get to the bathrooms and from one level to another, actually saw both mascots this time, but they don't wander around during the game really like other mascots do... they don't have matching cups with lids so why not just supply the can options so you don't spill your drink ..
When the jets score the atmosphere is intense and the goal horn is cool too.
Enjoyed the game, but the cost of snacks is unreasonable.
The Ticketmaster site easy to use , love that they give you pictures of the view from the seats selected. Even though we were in the nose bleed section of the arena we still had an awesome view of the whole ice surface. Was a great night and the Jets won!
Callum was a pleasure to deal with he did a great job.
Was a great exhibition game. Our seats were awesome. My first time using the Ticket master app. So easy, will definitely use the app again!
It was my first nhl game and it was amazing me and my gf had a great time the only thing is that the tickets are very pricy but worth it
I had an awesome time with my mom, nephew n great nephew
Was a great game, alive environment, great atmosphere
The atmosphere was incredible, had good seats with a nice clean arena too attend, felt like royalty
Would only been better had the Jets won. (Game 1, round 2)
It was great with all the noise and the total whiteout at the game. Had a super GREAT time with the atmosphere inside and outside of the building.
it was a very exciting game with great giveaways. everyone was into the game right to the end.
Fan Appreciation Night lived up to the hype! Lots of free giveaways throughout the game, free hotdog, and free cool cup with unlimited drinks all night was awesome! And the best part was the Jets putting a winning stamp on their regular season with an epic OT win! Bring on the Playoffs!
I took my two grandsons to their first ever NHL hockey game. The team they wanted to see the Jets play was the Oilers. So when I told him that I had bought them tickets to the game on Sunday, they were jacked beyond belief! They sang and danced and cheered along with the crowd, really did their part and trying to get the noise metre to climb! I bought them Winnipeg Jets souvenirs. They are now officially Winnipeg Jets fans, and they told me that on several occasions! This was an all-around fun evening as I also took my two son-in-law‘s with me. Really good experience!! I hope to take the boys to another game next season and I will let them choose the game.
Nothing better than Jets live! Best team, best fans! Can't wait for the playoffs!
Top experience in the Jets game as always! Arena is small comparing to other major ones, but it is filled with passion!!! Loving it, every second!
