The WWE is the world's largest wrestling promotion corporation. Founded by Jess McMahon and Toots Mondt in 1953 as Capitol Wrestling Corporation, the organization now hosts more than 500 events per year across the globe. In 1982, McMahon’s grandson Vincent K. McMahon bought Capitol Wrestling and was fundamental to turning the WWE into a widespread and enduring sports entertainment product.
Initially, McMahon built up the WWE roster with future superstars such as Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper and Jesse Ventura and launched the organization’s annual marquee event, WrestleMania, in 1985. Over the years, WrestleMania has offered plenty of unforgettable moments like the Hulk Hogan-André the Giant championship match in 1987, the generation-shifting face-off between Bret Hart and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in 1997 and The Undertaker’s 21-year winning streak at the event. The WWE will celebrate the 40th annual WrestleMania in 2024.
By the late ’80s and early ’90s, there was a full roster of hardcore brawlers, including Shawn Michaels, Hart, Ric Flair and "Macho Man" Randy Savage, who were later joined by a new crop of “Attitude Era” stars such as Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H and Mankind as the organization grew into a touring juggernaut. Another infusion of talent joined the WWE during the late aughts and early ’10s, including John Cena, Roman Reigns, Charlotte Flair, CM Punk, and Becky Lynch.
The WWE continued to reinvent itself as it created the separate Raw and SmackDown brands in 2002, launched various offshoot brands including the ECW and WWE NXT and introduced a 24/7 streaming network in 2014. The companies behind the WWE and mixed-martial arts promoter Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) merged into TKO Group Holdings in 2023.

This was an awesome show. It was the first time in 15 or 16 yrs that I have been to a WWE event and it was even better than I remembered.
What a fun event! The energy was high and the laughs multitudinous. The crowd really got into this event and all were royally entertained. There was nostalgia, pathos and hilarity. The chants for Brett Hart were symbolic of memories of the past glories of wrestling in Calgary. The coordination that turned a live event into a TV show was something to behold. Way to go Vinnie Mac. All that was missing was Gene Kiniski and Whipper Billy Watson.
my son thought it was very exciting and unbelievably awesome. he is still talking about it.
Overall, it was amazing. The only way it would have been better is if Jeff Hardy would have been there
It was a amazing night. All of the fights were so cool. But I didn't like when this guy in a different seat kept yelling out cena sucks and wouldn't stop saying that for even one second. But the event was unforgettable.
The event was great, started off with two dark matches before the live broadcast. WWE had the audience participate as well. Work ethic of the wrestlers was outstanding and the double main event made it better. Audience enthusiasm could be heard throughout the event and continued till the end. I don't want to drag this out doing a play by play but if anybody is a wrestling fan or looking to have quality entertainment and fun for 2 1/2 3 hours WWE does not disappoint.
It was our son's first time for wrestling and he enjoyed himself immensley he was yelling and screaming all night my Husband said. He had an awesome time at wrestling he even got a t-shirt to remember the event.
The evening was great. Only wish that Vince MacMahon was there. That would have been super. The matches were exciting but I would have loved to see Triple H, and the Undertaker but I guess you can't have it all. Overall, It was very good and I also attended the 25th anniversary at Wrestlemain.
I would recommend going to this to all my friends. It was an excellent night out and I really enjoyed it.
i drove 8hrs there 8 back send the money back to me PLEASE DO YOU KNOW THE FANS MAKE THE SPORT NO FANS NO SPORT ???????????????????????????
The first part of the show was good. How they had british bulldogs son fight. The raw was a amazing. The only thing that it could make it unforgettable is if they actually brought Bret "Hitman" Hart out.
It was the first wwe show that my wife had been to, and she could hardly contain her excitement, which made everything more fun. The show was really well put together, and although it seemed much smaller than it would in a different arena, it was well put together, and as long as you ignored Sgt. Slaughter, it was a great show. Our seats weren't quite where they were promised they would be, but they were still decent, and we really enjoyed ourselves.
It was good to share such a experience with my son Markus.Anything that makes him smile is exaclty what i as a parent like to accomplish.Next year we will be looking into getting his wish granted through Make a wish.He really wished he could have met some of the superstars this time..
Had a great time with my family. My son is John Cena's greatest fan.
I took my son to WWE Monday Night Raw in Calgary AB. It was amazing and my son had so much fun. My son is a big fan his bedroom and play room is wwe and nothing else. He lives sleeps and breathes wwe. Thank you so much for a wonderful night.
Monday Night RAW in Calgary was awesome! They got a great reaction from the fans by having Sgt. Slaughter play the heel guest host. David Hart Smith wrestling in his home town of Calgary also got great crowd reaction and it was a solid match to boot. Overall it was a great show and would definetly go again if they ever return.
i liked it alot it was awsome john cena was cool i like mark henry and hornswoggle were good and i liked kelly kelly, gail kim and diva match
Mediocre at best, this show left something to be desired. Sgt Slaughter as a guest GM was lame to the max. All he did was come out a couple of times and bash Canada. Why was he even there? He didn't participate in the show at all. Where was Triple H? No one goes to a live show to see him on a pre taped segment that you watch on a large screen? Isn't that why you watch at home? Many of the annpying wrestlers that are boring with no good story lines? The return of the Miz? Way lame! All in all there was not much that was super except for the atmosphere of being at a live show. Not sure I would pay that much for tickets again (we had floor seats) and all the money to travel to Calgary (we are not from there) for something that would have not been much different to watch for free from the comfort of our own living room!
I bought the tickets for my husband and 2 sons to see WWE RAW, which happened to be during my husband's 2 week leave from his tour in Afghanistan. They are still awestruck. This event made me the best wife/Mom EVER!!!! Awesome event!!
Had a good time there was a lot of superstars there. It was fun but the show could of used better matches as the main events or a better finish to raw.
