Formed in 1968 by Jon Anderson and the late, and much-missed, Chris Squire, YES have been one of the most innovative, influential and best-loved bands in rock music history. Their 1970s albums The Yes AlbumFragileClose To The EdgeYessongs (a triple live album set), Tales From Topographic OceansRelayer and Going For The One were ground-breaking in musical style and content. Their music also became synonymous with artist Roger Dean whose distinctive YES logo design and artwork adorned the lavish gatefold presentation sleeves of many YES albums.

With sales of over 50 million records, the Grammy-award winning YES were inducted into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2017 where they performed Roundabout from the album Fragile and the FM radio-friendly Owner Of A Lonely Heart from the 1985 album 90125.

    YES - Casinorama

by Philipd on 2012-07-12Casino Rama - Rama

As a diehard longtime Yes fan I was blown away by the new lead singer, introduced as John Davidson. It was like he was channelling a young Jon Anderson, including stage mannerisms and musicianship. With the original members behind him playing at their usual standard of excellence, when playing new material or old it was quintessential YES. They performed the usual duo of demanded superhits but also surprised with I've seen all good people, Wonderous Stories and Awaken. It was only a two hour show but it was solid from start to finish. Hope they tour again next year.

New singer's on stage presence seemed awkward at times....still learning band nuances and timing however strong vocals. Band seemed tired and a times were frustrated with sound issues.

Great! I miss Jon Anderson but how cool is it to hear Tempus Fugit and they played Awaken!!! It was amazing. Fly from Here symphony was breathtaking - so glad that made it out from the 80's. Jon Davison was brilliant - hit every note spot on and really pulled the band through. There were a couple of sound issues frustrating Steve and Geoff but they pulled through as the pros they are. The crowd could have been more engaged but that's an issue with the venue/audience that's always an issue (I've seen many shows there) but nothing to do with the band and the true YES fans were on their feet and up at the stage and singing "roundabout" at the top of their lungs!!

Yes put on a fine show

by filski on 2012-07-12Casino Rama - Rama

Steve Howe might look old, but he can still shred a guitar with the best of them. Singer sounded great, bass and drums were in harmony and the organist was worthy of Wakeman's legacy. The real star is Steve Howe and he did not let us down. The opening song - Yours Is No Disgrace was in my opinion their best of the evening. Amazing rendition. The whole evening sounded like straight off the album. Crowd was very appreciative. You can tell they were there for Yes, not just casino hanger-ons.

    Yes was very nostalgic.

by Charcho on 2012-07-12Casino Rama - Rama

I enjoyed the concert and was overwhelmed by how the new singer sounded exactly like Jon Anderson, especially since that was their first concert together. The musicians were excellent, however they played alot of songs that went on too long, as if they did not know how to wrap them up. Personaly, I think they started to lose their audience a few times. I guess that is their m.o.

    Yes at Casino Rama

by Bradycatt on 2012-07-12Casino Rama - Rama

For old school Yes fans, this was a treat! Note for note perfect playing and Jon Davison playing the part of Jon Anderson to perfection. The singing was pitch perfect on every note and the tone was as close to Jon Anderson as anyone could be. Geoff Downes showed his mastery of the keys with nine different keyboards and all those Wakeman-esque sounds. The mix was fantastic as it always is at Casino Rama. Steve Howe plucked notes and looked out at the crowd as if to say "how about that note...and this one...and this one!!!!" And for Rush fans Chris Squire made his Ricky bass grind and punch in the way he defined and Geddy Lee paid homage on 2112. All in all it was a time to sit and listen and marvel at the excellence on stage. The crowd was very polite and appreciative...some in awe!

    Still worthy of a stadium!

by Totofan on 2010-07-17Mountain View Plaza at Snoqualmie Casino - Snoqualmie

This was held on a perfect summer evening, outdoors at the Snoqualmie Casino. I was surprised to learn that Peter Frampton was actually opening for Yes...I guess it makes sense except for the substitute lead singer and all. At any rate, Frampton came on first and performed to a mostly full venue; the best seats up front were empty, obviously comps, friends of the radio station, Seattle's, 'elite', etc. Those of us who did pay for the show were not disappointed! Peter looks fantastic, still plays and sings like 'the old days', despite the fact the entire band was playing on new equipment, their original instruments destroyed in a Nashville flood a few weeks back. Aside from some troubles with the sound system, it was pretty much a perfect show. The band genuinely looks as though they are still enjoying what they do, and Peter's son even joined in for a blistering number later in the set. It's hard to believe we can still have the opportunity to see a living legend such as Mr. Frampton perform to such a high standard so long after his first album. It was a real treat! After maybe a half hour break and a full change of gear on stage, Yes came out to a now full house. The front seats were pretty much occupied and maybe that had to do with Mr. White's Seattle home crowd. It was obvious that Yes was the slightly 'favored' band, as the audience was even more receptive, though this could have been due to the numerous 'refreshments' served during the intermission. Now lead singer Benoit David really does sound like Jon Anderson, though without the stage presence. Despite being a member of the band for a couple of tours, he still seems like a guest on stage, often off to the side and simply playing the tambourine. His vocal abilities are not to be questioned however, and I have to admit he nails most of the high notes perhaps even better than Mr. Anderson is capable of these days. The rest of the band - the 'original' line up - look a little older but their abilities have not diminished with age. Oliver Wakeman - his dad's 'replacement' - seemed to fly through the material without much effort. Yes had some sound troubles as well but really it was only the band that seemed annoyed by whatever problems they were experiencing. It was the last night of their tour and they were tight and very engaging. For the last couple songs the crowd was (finally) on its feet and even rushed the stage...pretty good considering the AARP audience!

    An out standing show

by yesmann on 2010-02-15Town Hall - New York

new singer, new keyboardist, new life for the band. Yes - they really did bring everything to life. Yes Steve Howe is still incredible, as are White and Squire. A brilliant set - highly recommended, Playing and vocals were spot on. The only down side was a tendancy of the bass to overpower the slightly underpowered PA rig.

    Asia was outstanding/Yes was good

    by Tiny1 on 2009-07-19Snoqualmie Casino-Ballroom - Snoqualmie

Asia should be the front line for a concert tour. I would attend. John, Steve, Geoff and Carl were great. Yes didn't have as much flair as I expected.

    Yasia Rocks!!!!!

    by SGirl10andMikey5Ms on 2009-07-17Snoqualmie Casino-Ballroom - Snoqualmie

The concert was excellent!!! Steve Howe was incredible!! How does he manage to be so fabulous? He's the star of Yes AND Asia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He, alone, should be billed as " YASIA"!!!!!!!!!!!!! Asia played all of their great hits including Sole Survivor, Heat of the Moment, Wildest Dreams and Only Time Will Tell. Each member of Asia featured one of their songs from their previous bands: Geoff Downes played The Buggles MTV hit, "Video Killed the Radio Star", John Wetton played "In The Court of the Crimson King" and the fabulous Carl Palmer played ELP's " Fanfare for the Common Man".Their hour long set had the audience singing and rocking along. It was definitely "Old School" 80's at its best!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes was excellent: lead singer Benoit David sounded great!!!!! Steve Howe must have used 55 guitars!!!!!!!!!!!! Roundabout sounded incredible!!!! All hits, all the time!!!!!!!!!!! Their two hour long set , ending with Starship Trooper , was fantastic right from the opening chords of Siberian Khatru! Hope it's not too long before Asia, Yes and YASIA ( Steve Howe) come back to the Pacific Northwest ( Vancouver, please!)
