Show was amazing! Spectacular!!!!! He never disappoints. Will definitely see him again.
Zucchero as always is an original. He is unique. He puts on a super awesome show. He and his band left no stone unturned .... Performance was incredible. Will definitely go see him again, if and when he returns. This is a MUST see for any Zucchero fan.
Zucchero always delivers! His mix of blues and rock, and his unique style and voice, always makes for a great concert. His new music is just as amazing as his older songs. What makes Zucchero that more special is his humble personality....such a nice person.
Oh wow! Where to I begin? His music is amazing. He tells a story and I can't help but feel like I'm in a trance listening to his words. His voice goes from delicate to raspy in one second, depending on the song. The band is fantastic...especially the female members!
Saw every Zucchero concert in TO....he is original, a true artist
Zucchero is an amazing talent. He seems to be a well kept secret here in Canada. He is a world-class performer. His band was flawless and singer/guitarist, Kat Dyson, was an absolute bonus. Her guitar licks were precise and complex. Her voice was beautiful.
Excellent concert, although I felt badly that Zucchero had to cajole the audience to get up to dance. It was a strange mix of people, some of whom did not seem to be interested in his music. Overall a fantastic show!
I was really looking forward to the show because I've always loved the quality of Zucchero's voice.Unfortunately, the sound man must have decided that every amp be set at spinal tap. The sound was so distorted it ended up being just a horrible mess of noise. You could barely distinguish the singing from the instruments. There was no quality to this, at all. I've been to many concerts over the years (Black Sabbath, The Who, Santana, Frank Zappa, etc) So I'm not just opposed to higher decibels, but this was hard to withstand.
It was great to have an A-list Italian act finally play Vancouver! The crowd showed their love as they simply refused to let this consummate blues man go-he must have come out for about five or six encores! The show was nicely paced with a well balanced set list of sensual ballads showcasing Zucchero's beautiful voice and lively upbeat numbers prompting the audience on their feet and dance. There was a great selection of hits in both Italian and English. Even though Zucchero Fornaciari is a serious, disciplined old school musician I wish he let us take pictures during the show for our own cherished memories…I would have given him 5/5 if he let me take a picture…on the other hand he taught my social media-generation self to be more present and in the moment at live shows :P
From the opening notes, Zucchero had the audience in the palm of his hand. We have his DVDs, and the songs were very familiar to us, but it was an incredible experience to see him perform in person. I have seldom seen a performer who has such rapport with his audience! No, we don't speak Italian, but it didn't matter!
Zuccharo played to a packed, dancing, and adoring crowd. What a concert -- dynamic, rockin, and heartfelt during ballads. A music concert at its best - inspiring, thoughtful and powerful.
If you have need seen him he is a must have on your bucket list. Every single song he performed was perfectly done, got the crowd going, everyone was on their feet wanted to dance the whole night. Can't wait to seed him again
I have enjoyed his music for sometime, this did not disappoint me. He was fabulous and the acoustics, sound was tremendous. Couple of critiques I'm glad I wasn't sitting in the first row or so, as with all of the people down by the stage, for most of the time, it would have been difficult to see him and the group perform. Unfortunately, either my wife nor I speak Italian and therefore, didn't get the jokes or anything he was talking about.
I went to see Zucchero on Friday night and the whole concert was done in Italian. All of the songs but one and all of the communication between Zucchero and the audience. I don't speak Italian and it didn't matter at all. The concert was brilliant and My wife and I were on our feet dancing from the beginning to the end with the occasional break to catch our breath. I would see him again anytime!! By the way. You Italians really know how to rock!!!!
Fabulous show---audience on their feet for 80%of performance!!!!!
The songs and energy brought on by Zucchero on stage was just delightful and fun to watch even though I don't understand Italian. The musicians are A+. What a great show!!!
While the venue was super tight and and very packed the show was amazing. You got the chance to be up close and personal. Zucchero was amazing and did a fantastic job . Loved it.
Saw this concert last Saturday in Edmonton. Zucchero is GREAT. Great music, great voice, a true gentlemanly presence on stage. Only downside was the choice of venue by the promoter. He could have easily sold out at the Jubilee Auditorium or The Winspear Centre, but holding the concern in a casino was not appreciated. I'd definitely see him again, and would be willing to travel to see him in a nicer place with better acoustic signature.
It indeed was an unforgettable evening with Zucchero!!!! Better than going to an actual concert. He certainly is an Italian Icon and always will be. So talented and his band was absolutely awesome and you could feel & see the harmony between them.
The entire show from the solo 2-song kick-off to the dancing in the isles was a musical treat. He simply played song after song that I knew and loved. And the crowd interaction (those wonderful Italians) made it just that much better. Although he spoke Italian through most of the performance (& I don't know Italian), it was just another element that seems to make the entire show almost surreal. Thanks for bringing him to Winnipeg for such a wonderful intimate show.
