    Excellent Show!

    by Macaroni on 2019-10-24

I took my mom in December 2018 and we both loved it. The choir, orchestra and lights were amazing. It is a memory with my mom that I will cherish forever. I would definitely attend this event again. Well done!!

    Past years were better

by EdmMom on 2017-12-30Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Singers were outstanding, as usual. The facebook live bit in the middle of the show was disappointing- we paid to be there, but got to watch the performers talk to their phones/FB audience. It was only for a few minutes but it really took away from the feeling of the event. Previous years were better.

    Not what we expected

by Theme on 2017-12-21Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I attended the Singing Christmas Tree for the first time ever. I have to say it was NOT what I expected. My hope was to fill my soul with the joy of Christmas Carols ( the ones we all know and love) sung by an amazing choir. Instead it was a Christmas commercial "production" of glitz and showmanship with a charitable appeal that I thought inappropriate. I will not attend again.

    Wonderful Christmas event

by Auntsilly on 2017-12-20Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

We used to attend at Church of Nazarene. The dancing and pop approach may appeal to some but we enjoy Christmas carols and religious hymns. After all it is a celebration of the birth of Christ.

One of the best performances ever!

by Poopsy50 on 2017-12-20Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

My daughter, grandson (8) and I truly enjoyed the evening. This was our 7th year and it was one of the best shows overall. The dancers were amazing this year and song choices were excellent.

This is my third year going. It's become a tradition for me, my sister and my daughter. This year we were with a group of 12, 8 of which had never gone before. Everyone loved it and said they would go again! YAY!!! It seemed to be a little sad this year....need more pep! And we missed the audience sing along. Still loved it though

    Too Loud

by earsplitting on 2017-12-19Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I was disappointed in the sound! We had terrific seats on the Main Terrace! But the sound was so loud, myself and our guests had to stick kleenix in our ears so we could to stay and watch the show. The sound being so loud the individuals singers voices were distorted and we could not make out the words being sung! The four of us who attended all felt the same way with the sound and also felt the dancers were a disappointing distraction to the songs being sung. the song "Mary did you know"/ It was well done, I know the song and could understand the words sung, but our guests could not make out the words because of the sound being so loud. I will next time bring earplugs.

I started going to the singing Christmas tree in 1967. We took our children. Now as a grandma I still go with my family. We have it as a special Christmas treat. Thank you for making it so wonderful for us.

    Edmonton Singing Christmas Tree

by Sharonna on 2017-12-18Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Gets you into the holiday spirit with great singers and dancers but we would have liked to see more songs sung by the tree. We also wished they would have had at least a medley of traditional Christmas songs. There were a lot of new songs (the one about texting was awful) and a couple of old ones reworked in modern versions. Lastly the camera boom on the right side of the stage was distracting and often in the way of our view.
