Sound was off at the beginning. No coherent story, not a real musical. More like a bunch of music videos in series. Story was very whiny and full of angst. Singers were good.
A very entertaining, edgy show incorporating the some of the greatest Green Day songs! The performers had me singing along with them. The actors were very talented with amazing voices. The use of TV screens in the back ground was very cool and helped to enrich the "broadway" experience.
Amazing show the second time around although not as great as the cast that was in toronto a couple years ago. Regardless still my favorite musical of all time
The cast and music are amazing. A must see, even if you are not a Green Day fan, the story was unbelievable. This was my second time seeing it, but would see it again. The cast are very talented, and the set design is great. Get your tickets and go see it!
American Idiot was good, but I wouldn't go to see it again. The music was good, but there was not much supporting dialogue or a strong story line to make the songs flow together. The set design was really cool, however.

I am a gigantic Green Day fan and this on stage portrayal of American Idiot was done soo well and it was fantastic to watch and of course sing along to. I was hesitant when the program indicated that there were women singing some of the songs, mostly because I am so familiar with the songs and hearing BillieJoe's voice singing them, but the female vocals were sensational. Only way to put it, sensational. Amazing tribute to the band I love so much and the songs that played themselves as the soundtrack to my high school life. Loved this :)
I feel bad giving such a poor recommendation for American Idiot. Feel it could have been a much better show if the sound quality was better. Poor acoustics, singers mics too low, background music to loud, lack luster story line. I've seen better highschool productions. Female singers had amazing voices, and when the leads sang with just a guitar, you could see the promise in the show if orchestrated better.
This was my 3rd time seeing the show and I would go again!
This is the second time seeing this show. I'm a big Green Day fan and this show was fantastic...better than the last time. A few changes since the last show with a couple added songs. Loved the encore from the Nimrod album.
