    Best band ever

by CBizzle on 2022-11-19Le Studio TD - Montréal

Katatonia played about an hour and 45. All bangers. Set covered all albums. High energy as always and Jonas is shittin’ adorable. Also; The Ocean Collective and Cellar Darling slayed. Big props to the opening acts.

It was wonderful concert. I'm listening Katatonia for 27 years and was more than happy to see them. Great sound and overall. Good place. Glad that I joined them in Montreal!

    Solid Solid show

by MarkTheBassPlayer on 2012-09-07Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Always the best venue to catch live music in Vancouver...stellar sound and kickin' atmosphere! Openers Stolen Babies and Paradise Lost warmed up the sizable crowd and set an epic tone of power and darkness which paved the way for Katatonia and their powerful lyric-driven Swedish Tsunami of sound!! Devin Townsend capped the evening with his in-your-face relentless power and energy. The rhythm sections on the big 2 feature acts were phenomenal in their tightness and force.Really enjoyed the percussion elements and also the irreverent sense of humour Devin projected from the stage,,,home-grown genius! Bravo Devin Townsend Project!! Awsome show!!!

    Solid show from Katatonia

by Hammer1080 on 2010-09-15The Opera House - Toronto

Katatonia took a couple of songs to really come together but from the song 'Longest Day' onwards they sounded tight and the vocals were perfect - great performance and set list. Orphaned Land put on an amazing show with lots of energy, kinda reminded me of early System of a Down shows I saw in the mid 90's. I hadn't heard of these guys but they're a really polished act from Isreal. Swallow the Sun looked a little uptight and the sound guys had WAAAY to much echo on his vocals for all but the last two songs which ruined their set, although they certainly have some epic songs and the guitar players put on a wicked show. All in all I was most impressed with Orphaned Land's performance, but loved the Katatonia set and they performed well enough - still love em!
