Better Lovers is a hardcore punk band from Buffalo, New York. Sometimes considered a supergroup, the band came together in 2023 after the breakup of Every Time I Die. Following the dissolution of that metalcore act, guitarist Jordan Buckley, bassist Stephen Micciche and drummer Clayton “Goose” Holyoak joined forces with frontman Greg Puciato — former vocalist for The Dillinger Escape Plan — and guitarist Will Putney of Fit For An Autopsy to form the new project. Signing to SharpTone Records, Better Lovers released their debut single “30 Under 13” in April 2023, which was followed quickly by their debut EP God Made Me an Animal. Throughout the following summer, Better Lovers joined The Ghost Inside, Underoath and We Came as Romans on a tour across North America before embarking on their own run of headline dates in the U.S. and the U.K.

I was under the impression Full of Hell was headlining until after I bought the tickets. It was a very diverse lineup, which is fine. I had never heard of Better Lovers or the other bands in the lineup. Was not crazy about the music when I ran them.through Spotify, but they were all great live. Accoustics are great at the Opera House and I always enjoy shows there. So the show itself was pretty good. I really want to see Full of Hell as a headliner though. I should mention the show was incredibly loud. Been going to shows for 40 years and don't recall being deaf for 3 days afterward. I blame Better Lovers, lol.
Personally I had never heard of the band before they played. Right from the start they came out with insane energy. Would recommend seeing them live
