About

Tool have defied conventions and classification through their 30-plus-year exploration of progressive rock and unorthodox visual expression at live shows. Forming in Los Angeles in 1990, the original quartet of Maynard James Keenan, Adam Jones, Danny Carey and Paul D'Amour showed relatively straightforward traces of heavy metal on initial offerings like 1992’s Opiate EP and their 1993 debut album Undertow. After recruiting bassist Justin Chancellor, the band reached major mainstream success with their sophomore album Ænima (1996), which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and netted the band’s first Grammy for Best Metal Performance for the title track. Tool’s notoriety only rose as the band pushed further into more esoteric material with 2001’s Lateralus, which kicked off a streak of three No. 1 debuts on the Billboard 200 through 2019’s Fear Inoculum. Within that span, Tool has also logged two Hot 100 singles, two additional Grammy awards and several multi-year headlining festival spots at Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and more.

This the best concert I have ever been to. It sounded and looked incredible. I would love to do it again, they also had a no filming rule which was amazing as I could see the concert and effects they put into place adding to the experience without a bunch of screens in front of me.

  • Cool - Bell Centre, Montreal

The light show is second to no other band. Very Cool Stuff. Maynard is flawless. Shame he dislikes meeting fans. Seen them 3 times and would go again. I hope to hear Lataralas on the set-list next time.

  • Mind blowing

I've been a TOOL fan for a very long time. Admittedly not a "day 1"fan, in fact it took until Lateralus for me to really "get"the band. Since 2001, they've been my favorite band, and it's not close. Over the proceeding 22 years, for various reasons, I was never able to catch a live show. Raising kids is expensive (especially when your son is a high level athlete that gets recruited for various travel teams). Combined with work, and life, I'd always miss any shows......if they even came my way. Finally the stars aligned. I was actually supposed to see them for the first time at the Aftershock and PowerTrip festivals in California, then they announced the NA tour......Kelowna and Vancouver. I sold my tickets to the festivals, and bought tickets for the Kelowna and Vancouver shows. The Kelowna show was really good. Small venue though, so the sound and video weren't the greatest. Still had an awesome time. Then we flew down to Vancouver the next day. The difference in the two shows was night and day. As my concert buddy (AKA the aforementioned son) said: "it was like watching a 720p TV (the Kelowna show) and then watching a 4k TV (Vancouver)". It was simply incredible. A TOOL concert isn't just a concert. It's an experience. The lasers. The light show. The 4k screens on the stage. Insane. It was the the most incredible concert/visual/sensory experience of my life. I was literally high and buzzing off of it for the next month. I can't believe I waited 22 years to finally see these guys in concert. Now, I'm going to go see them again in Las Vegas in ~2 weeks. Do yourself a favor, go see these guys live. You will not be disappointed. Spiral out 🤘👽🌀

Tool still can put on a show like they did when they first started. You will not be disappointed seeing them live.

  • Great bunch of musicians

I am a huge tool fan. This setlist is very similar to the concert I saw a couple of years ago when they did leg 1 of promoting their fear innoculum album. So in that regard it was a bit of a letdown. I found d it to be too loud and sound was distorted, from where I was sitting anyways. Not sure if there was an issue with the sound that evening. My son joined me and lived it. I think the song tempest is the best song on fear innoculum. My opinion may be biased, although I'm sure many will share my opinion on that. It would be great if they would incorporate that song to future shows.

  • An Ethereal Life Changing Experience

Holy crap, does Tool ever put on one hell of a show. I’ve waited years to see them and I’m happy I finally did. What an experience this show was, at times it didn’t even feel like I was at a concert let alone even present. I felt that I every attendee was one with the band, music, life and the spectacle, it was a beautiful experience. No phones, no cameras, everyone living in the moment, everyone having their mind blown in every single aspect of what we call our senses. Loved it and hopefully will see them again .
