MOTLEY CRUE IN CONCERT:

After more than three decades of headbanging, heavy metal bad boys Motley Crue announced that 2015’s The Final Tour would be their last ever, giving fans one final opportunity to see Tommy Lee and company in the flesh before the curtain falls for good. The band has always been a revered live act for their showmanship and over-the-top performances, but their 2013 shows were their biggest and fieriest yet, featuring pyrotechnics beyond fans’ wildest dreams – including the late Nikki Sixx’s legendary flamethrower bass. With 72 North American dates in 2014 and international dates to follow, the Crue are doing it big in true form, burning bright to the very last guitar solo.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed in LA in 1981 by guitarist Nikki Six and drummer Tommy Lee, Motley Crue was quickly rounded out with the addition of lead guitarist Mick Mars and singer Vince Neil. The band became notorious in the early ‘80s for their glam image and hard partying lifestyle, but it was 1983 sophomore album Shout at the Devil that made them international superstars. 1985’s Theatre of Pain and 1987’s Girls, Girls, Girls would prove even more successful, spawning ‘80s hard rock staples like “Smokin’ in the Boys Room” and “Home Sweet Home.” With 100 million albums sold worldwide, Motley Crue endures as one of the greatest heavy metal bands of all time, making their 2014 farewell tour a bittersweet last hurrah for their legions of fans.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

“Motley Crue still rules the rock scene after 30+ years of recording and performing. They played songs from virtually all albums and song selection was sure to please any Motley fan.”

“Motley ALWAYS delivers an amazing show. Seeing the Crue doing what they do best in Sin City couldn't have been any better. The pyro was over-the-top amazing.”

“This Motley Crue concert was the best Crue concert ever. The fire and pyros were awesome. They really outdid themselves. They sounded great too.”

    Stadium Tour

by Alex & Ellen on 2022-09-08Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

Excellent concert. Definitely one of the best concerts ever. John Jett was fantastic at playing her tunes from the 80's spot on and Brett Micheals was an exceptional showman. Motley Crue and Def Leppard both kept the packed house Rockin on a hot September night. It was like 4 separate concerts, what a show.

    Great to Get Out

by Lloyd on 2022-09-08Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

Each of the four acts contributed to a great 7 hour performance. There is no doubt age and a hard life is showing for Motley Crue; however the remaining acts were extremely good. A packed house also contributed to the fun.

    Need more merchandise tables

by Kate on 2022-09-08Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

Loved the concert! Sadly missed the first two bands standing in line to get T Shirts. Only thing about the concert I found could have been better.

    Edmonton stadium tour review

by Jay on 2022-09-08Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

Edmonton stadium tour review . Extremely impressed with the performance from Joan Jet Poison in Def Leppard. The positive energy and enthusiasm that Bret Michaels brings to the stage is unparalleled. The professionalism and musicianship of both poison and Def Leppard was incredible. Mötley Crüe came out and blew up the stage, as they always do. Furthermore Vince sounded better than anything I’ve heard from him live in the last 10 years and I’ve seen them quite a few times. My only complaint was that the venue should start letting people in sooner and the merchandise stands need to somehow speed up the process.

    Time to pack it in

by SG on 2022-09-08Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Poison, and Def Leppard saved the day! All in it was great, however, Vince Neil can no longer do the music justice. When he was singing it was mumbled and off key frankly hard to listen to, never mind not knowing the words. As someone who’s seen the Crüe on multiple occasions it was massively disappointing. Thankfully the rest of the band has enough talent to nearly carry the washed up front man. They should take the next retirement seriously and make it stick.

    Foot traffic sucks

by MamaT on 2022-09-08Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

Concert itself was fantastic! Artist we’re great, sound was great! Foot traffic through commonwealth was BRUTAL! Definitely could improve the flow and potentially rope off paths to keep people moving in one direction or another separate and not have everyone weaving back and forth through each other. Security Monitoring smoking would be helpful with this as well as part of the traffic flow problem was people being stopped for cigarettes in non smoking areas in the middle of throughways where people were trying to get to their seats!

    Sound quality sucked

by Betney on 2022-09-08Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

The sound was so bad we couldn’t hear what anyone was singing or saying, and half the time we couldn’t even make out what songs were playing. Speakers were so out of sync all we could hear was noise and echo. What a waste, we were so looking forward to this show :(

Stadium tour hits Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

by Angel1 on 2022-09-08Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

Missed the opening band because the venue was slow letting us in. Joan Jett was amazing the set too short. Poison’s Brett Michaels talked too much and the mixing was off. Def Leppard was beyond amazing they played for almost 2 hours, they were tight and the show polished, they made the night , up there in my top ten sets ever. Motley Crüe was a spectacular stage event that took away from their music, again the mix was off and the stage too bright, we lasted two songs and left.

    Outshined

by Sherwinner on 2022-09-08Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

The crue were outshined by the bands that played before them. Def Leppard and Poison were fantastic and so was Joan Jett Even though they were the headliners they were not the best band there by far.

    Major Sound Issues, Questionable Performance

    by Nickname on 2022-09-08

Major Sound Issues at Common Wealth Stadium. The echo was terrible, impossible to hear lyrics, singing or instruments. I saw almost half our section leave half way through the show. I don't know how this went unnoticed. Def leopard was stellar, Joan Jet was great, Poison was fine, Motley Crue was questionable. Between the noise of a dying cat, muddy instruments and an echo that was 3-6 times repeated per word, they were the definition of noise. Also, why was it so loud? It want even good and added to the distortion. Unfortunate I spent what I did, plus hotels and travel to attend the concert but... I'm glad I didn't pay more. I guess I'm the fool. Good job Def Leppard, JJ and sorta Poison for keeping the ship a float.

by BobbyJack on 2022-09-08Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

It was all that I expected and more, only downer was watching every body get hammered when I have been on the wagon. Otherwise Motley Crüe rocked! Def Leopard is still great and also Poison and Joan Jett

    Mötley disappointment

by Tam on 2022-09-08BC Place - Vancouver

Joan Jett was amazing!! Poison was totally awesome!!! Def Leppard was soooo damn good! Fantastic!!!! And then Motley Crüe was so bad. They were so loud you couldn’t tell what song they were doing until you recognize a chorus, just a bunch of noise. The energy of the crowd changed, people were not rockin this, not even singing along anymore. I know lots left during this performance.

    Awesome concert

by Highway Joe on 2022-09-07Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

All bands put on a great show! Poison was by far the Best, the whole band put on a great show! High energy and got the crowd into it! The only thing that could’ve been better was opening the doors sooner! 30 minutes to get that many people in wasn’t enough time! Hopefully there’s another stadium tour!

    Def Leppard excellent

by Ryan on 2022-09-07Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

The opening acts were good. Def Leppard was fantastic, total pros. Motley Crüe was only okay, because their singer cannot sing anymore.
