Elliott Brood Tickets

Set amidst the magic ambiance of The Opera House, 3 bands took to the stage on Devil's Night 2009. The first were mild and meek, and whose name escapes me. However the Beauties were to follow, and they did little to disappoint. With memorable choruses like "Ain't nobody gonna love me like the Devil-do!", intriguing riffs and changes between the 3 mixed guitars, and ultimately driven by one of the hardest working drummers in Canada, these guys had fun with the audience. Elliot Brood were my reason for attending the show, and although they did perform well, I felt like they were let down by the Opera House sound crew. The sound of this unique band relies heavily on their interesting arrangement of banjo riffs and crackling vocals, however last night those wonderful sounds were washed out and distorted. Loved the show, but simply wanted more sound from one of my favorite local bands. One a up note, Elliot Brood's three members are all charismatic and charming performers, and I would highly recommend seeing them if you get the chance. Thanks All.
