Cheap Trick was amazing. Lots of fan favorites, radio hits and deep cuts to please everyone. Great evening!
The show was awesome the Haileys were great and of course Trooper & Cheap Trick were exceptional. The only complaint is the people getting overserved and creating a scene and making the experience less enjoyable, which I find happening a lot at both Burton Cummings & Canada Life Centre events. Security is NOT as efficient as it was when we had the old arena, I feel like they can't control the crowds when they are rowdy. I lost my footing @ Motley Crue and they accused me of being intoxicated, but I saw several individuals that were actually intoxicated getting served more?????
Glad I didn’t pay full price for tickets. They lost the crowd with song choice and people started walking out half way through set. I think this was due to the bands inability to reach certain notes. It was obvious the son was brought in to assist with all vocals. In the end, I should have kept my old memories instead of trying to make new ones. I’d would not recommend their show.
I feel terrible for saying this but did not feel that this was a great concert. Opening bands were great but CT did not meet my expectations. I have seen them before but this was disappointing. Sorry CT lovers!
New Cheap trick Groupie here, seeing them tonight in Saskatoon Saskatchewan tonight opening for No show Sir Rodney Stewart!!! Wad awesome! CHEAP TRICK ROCKS and would highly recommend seeing them to any true Rock and Roll fan, hope to see them again soon myself. Thanks again for the Grrrrrrrrrrr8 show boys. Travel Safe
The cheap trick concert was so good. The sound was amazing . Those gents still got it 🏁🎶🎸❣️💥
The sound was excellent. Very comfortable seats but Disappointed in locations of washrooms. None available close to Section 10 D entrance on second floor.
I love the new OLG hall, the seating was great the sound is good. I really enjoyed Cheap Trick , what a blast from the past.
I took my son to see Cheap Trick 12 yrs ago when he was 6 yrs old to Erie PENN. at a weekend fair they happened to be playing at and he just loved them. All these years later we got to see them again and it was awesome!! We had great seats, 10th row just off centre, great view of the band, great sound and the band sounded just as great as they did when I first saw them back in 1988. So glad we got to see them 1 more time as the world has changed alot since the last time we saw them. I would definitely go back to OLG Stage and see another show. Had a really great time..
One of the best shows Cant wait to see them again
They went deep diving in their catalogue. They are truly THAT 70'S BAND. They sounded great. They are a super tight band
I really wanted to like the concert, I really did. I realised that they are a true rock band , not necessary pop. But more hard pop , if that's such a thing. The band obviously like their rockers , I think many in attendance may want to hear radio friendly music , but that's not them, so I really like and respect that , they play what they want , not the other way around. But what irked me is the sound was louder than the venue could muster. It's almost like they are meant for an outdoor show , and not for a smaller venue. After a few songs it just became too . . .. It seems the tone was too high , not enough bass or something. It took a few days for me ear to recover. I couldn't even listen to cheap trick for almost after week after the concert . I'll go again, but different venue , or I'll bri g ear plugs to tone down the high pitched sound.
Unfortunately the sound mix was terrible. With the volume at “12” the vocals were barely recognizable and the guitars were just a mash of noise. My ears are still ringing. As a musician I was looking forward to hearing them, but came away disappointed.
First real concert for my son (14). He has been in love with thier music since he first heard them. He was awe struck and blown away. I really enjoyed it,being a casual fan of them. They sounded incredible.
Great venue, great crowd, awesome band. Seen Cheap Trick 25+ times and they never disappoint. Playing 3 songs from each of their first 3 records was cool. The sound was great, however not as loud as at previous concerts. The only negative I would say was with the stage being quite large they seemed to be squished into middle of the stage, taking up a third. Should've streched it out with Rick and Tom more spaced out from Robin. Perhaps getting up in years, they don't wanna move too much. I totally get that. Overall, a great time, hopefully they'll play a headline show in Toronto.
Awesome venue, awesome show. I am in a wheelchair and they are fully equipped to help with any issues. The sound was exceptional, the view was perfect. Overall one of the best venues i have ever been too.
Cheap Trick did not disappoint, they put on a great show with lots of energy and played all the hits as well as some new. Super fun show!
Not a great show!! Pretty bad actually. Should have started with a few hits to get the crowd going. I looked around and a lot of people were on their phones as the show was pretty boring
First time at the OLG stage seats were great sound was really good. And the band was as great as ever a fun time was had by all.
I got tickets for my wife’s 32nd birthday, and well… she had never heard of Cheap Trick and had low expectations… she was blown away by how well they rocked! The venues seats are comfortable and the sound quality is very good! Nice big screens!
