    Fabulous movie, breathtaking soundtrack!

by Jessica R.D. on 2024-03-16Meridian Hall - Toronto

Amadeus is an absolute classic, and a must for movie-lovers and music-lovers alike. The TO Live Orchestra performed the soundtrack to this 1984 stunner with such clarity and precision that I often forgot I was watching the movie with a live ensemble. A joy and a delight for diverse audiences — I highly recommend!

    Great show but aweful seating.

The orchestra was fantastic but the seating was so tight our legs were so cramped we almost left.

    Absolutely loved everything about it!

by Ev on 2024-03-14Meridian Hall - Toronto

See it if you have the chance. Beautiful wonderful music! Could not have been done any better. Wonderful performance by the orchestra and singers. The movie is still great after all these years.

It was a new experience for me

by Ella on 2024-03-14Meridian Hall - Toronto

I was curious about the combination of the two together and thought all the musical parts would be played live. However it was actually a selection of some parts. I am not a professional but can say that it was very well done and the I along with the whole audience enjoyed it.

Good show! Some recommendations with it.

by Lyssy on 2024-03-14Meridian Hall - Toronto

Thank you for the performance! Love the orchestra! It was a nice evening for us in Toronto! One note: The wait times to get to your seats should be reduced. It all feels like last minute with a rush to get to your seats before the actual show starts. The intermission should be much longer as well because of us (male & females) were not able to go to the washrooms or get another snack or drink because of all the line-ups. Not that I needed another drink or snack, but rushing to the washroom without missing the beginning of the second part of the show is not necessary by extending the intermission by 10 to 15 minutes. With an opportunity that customers will also spend more money to buy more drinks and snacks as well. The timing of the entry and intermission is not set up for the customer. It is set up for the staff. Somehow it felt all rushed being there. I wouldn't organize it this way. Be more customer focused! Thank you for listening! Stefan

    Absolutely mind-blowing

by James on 2024-03-13Meridian Hall - Toronto

This viewing with a live orchestra was an absolutely mind-blowing experience for both my wife and me! You don't have to be a fan of classical music to enjoy this. It's something that everyone should experience at least once in their life time!

    So hot

by Nj on 2024-03-13Meridian Hall - Toronto

The movie, of coarse, was excellent. The TSO was fabulous. The venue; Meridian Hall, was so hot, it was sickening. People left early and I can only assume it was for that reason. As soon as the movie ended, while the orchestra was still playing, many people rushed for the door. So unfortunate to impact a wonderful show for a physical, solve-able problem. And if it wasn’t solveable, there should have been broad communication. It’s winter. People are dressed for it.

    Amazing performance

by Laura on 2024-03-13Meridian Hall - Toronto

We really enjoyed the experience of watching one of our favourite movies with a live orchestra playing the sound-track. I have seen the movie dozens of times, but it makes such a difference with a full orchestra playing. I was a bit disappointed at several audience members leaving while the orchestra played during the end credits. I guess they thought they were just at the cinema.
