Chromeo, the funk-electronic DJ duo composed of David "Dave 1" Macklovitch and Patrick "P-Thugg" Gemayel, have been churning out catchy dancefloor additions since forming in 2002. Beginning as high school bandmates in Montreal, Canada, the pair combined their appreciation for ‘80s funk, pop and R&B with a mutual studio savvy that leaned more toward hip-hop production. Dave 1 and P-Thugg debuted as Chromeo on 2004’s She’s in Control featuring their first major single “Needy Girl,” followed by Fancy Footwork (2007) and Business Casual (2010). The duo’s 2014 album White Women pushed Chromeo into wider mainstream acclaim, debuting at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 and boasting their single “Jealous (I Ain't with It)," which peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. Chromeo’s 2018 follow-up Head Over Heels added to the duo’s accolades with their first Grammy nomination for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. In 2021, Chromeo showcased their vibrant onstage personas with their first concert album, Date Night: Chromeo Live!

Great dance party, my 3rd time seeing them! My friends and I dresses up in Chrome and were the life of the party!! Would totally go see them again!
Played all the songs I hoped for but 1! Such a fun show... I just danced the night away.
Chromeo was amazing!!! If you’re looking for a good time Chromeo will not disappoint!!!!
Whole set was sick. Songs from new album and past releases. Played a lot of great singles. One sour note, I picked up a pair of tickets in the mezz to sit down. A few peolple on the mezz stood for the whole show, totally screwing peolple behind them that paid for a seat. Maybe buy a GA ticket if you want to stand! Other wise killer show, nice small venue. Sound system EQ was a little off but, didn’t bother us to much. Opening act got hosed there bass was so heavy it drowned out the guitar and a lot of lyrics.
An amazing Canadian band that will get you dancing
Dave-1 & P-Thug are reliably great as Chromeo. Second time seeing them, the first was at The Opera House and they’ve gotten even better!
It was such a great time! Amazing sound, great crowd.
Had the crowd singing and dancing and just an amazing vibe. They are talented and will continue to be supported for years and years to come.
Great music, great venue, great crowd. Chromeo put on a show that was nearly a non-stop dance party. So much fun!
Chromeo was fantastic live! Great vocals and instrumentals! Venue was very hot though, poor ventilation. Definitely would see Chromeo again if they come back!
This was my fourth time seeing Chromeo and I swear they get better and better every time. There's non-stop dancing, lots of energy and great music. I'd definitely recommend going to see a Chromeo show whenever they are in town.
OK so after I was at a loss of words on the day of the concert all I have to say now is just AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! Chromeo is my favorite band in the world ever since I first heard them. I thought I wouldn't be able to make a statement about any band since I'm a real music junkie but my god are they amazing... The concert was held in one of the best venues in the city in my opinion, not too big so the intimacy is lost but not too small because hell it's Chromeo! Production was OFF THE HOOK! That chrome guitar that Dave used and they lighted it. Anyway...if you didn't know now you know...go see them ASAP!!!
Great show, awesome venue! Chromeo had the whole crowd singing along. Their new stuff is great too and they played an unreleased track
Never listened to Chromeo before the day of the show. It was so much fun! Great to dance to!
When Chromeo came to Vancouver last time they hit the stage at 12:30 am which was way too late to start. This time I didn't want to wait so long so I got there at 11:30 pm. When I arrived the show was over. Someone told me Chromeo started playing at 9:30. I was so choked. My theory is that people were so mad at the start time last time that Chromeo decided to make it up to the fans and/or they came directly from Montreal and were functioning on East Coast Time. Also I hope they don't wait 2.5 years again before performing in Vancouver next time!
Chromeo were simply amazing!!!! Being at the show made me wanna go out and buy their CD....again! The crowd was really into it (screaming the lyrics and dancing), which made it all the more fun.
What the websites forgot to mention was that there were not one but two excellent first part to the incredible chromeo show. In other words, first we were treated to an excellent DJ who had us dancing for an hour. Then, We are enfant terrible took the stage and got us all worked up for the big event through their own one hour set. Finally, the big duo came out and played mainly an incredible set of Business Casual and Fancy footwork songs, mixed with some older tracks and even a short cover of Dire Strait's money for nothing. Dave 1 and P-Thugg's attitude was perfect, getting the crowd crazy, shouting, dancing, clapping. The only down side? The voices volume was a bit too low, but then again with a good Bass and Beat at that level, you have to expect to lose something. Plus, the metropolis is always nice to hang out. Great show, danced for 4 hours, and 2 days later I still can't walk!
First things first: CHROMEO WAS FABULOUS!!!!! I did not give 5 stars because of the two opening bands that lasted 45 to an hour EACH!!! It took too long before Chromeo came on stage. I had people sleeping behind me, I'm not joking they LITERALLY fell asleep!!
Had a fantastic time...didn't stop dancing, not even for a moment!
Discovered this band a while ago and can't stop listening to their music! The funky beats and soulful lyrics always put you in a better mood and before you know it you are bobbing your head and tapping your foot - if you're not already up and dancing! Got the opportunity to see them live at the Commodore in Vancouver, BC on Aug 2, 2011 and it was an amazing show! They came on a bit late, but it was well worth the wait. Dave 1 is just as handsome and talented in person as he is in videos and interviews and P-Thugg's talent is beyond words - the amount he accomplishes on stage!! These boys write their own songs and music (unlike so many others in the industry) and really put the effort in to thank their fans - how can you not love them!
