    Amazing Show

by KobiesKeeper on 2015-08-15Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

You will forget to look at the people and just focus on the animal characters. The costuming is wonderful and the actors portray them very well.

The Lion King was amazing from the very first scene. I went with my grown children and they both loved it as well. The costumes were so interesting and the way the actors worked their costumes kept you intrigued. Special props to the costume designers. The little lady (narrator) had such an amazing voice. All in all 5 stars.

The show was amazing!!!!!! I was crying at the beginning it had shocked me so much how beautiful, touching and amazing the show was. Such beautiful music, costumes, props and so much more. Extremely well made. One of the best experiences in my life thus far. Was so excited and couldn't resist buying a ticket to go again (even just by myself). I had to see it again. Thinking of the broadway and listening to the soundtrack brings me right back to it. I would seeing again and again. :) Thank you!

Disney Lion King better than expected

by Jeannie2 on 2015-08-12Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I have been waiting for 13 years to see this musical and I was so happy that it finally came to western Canada so that I could. The additional expenses to Edmonton were worth every penny, priceless. The costumes and singing were absolutely phenominal. The acting was so great by everyone but especially from the villan Scar. The live characters sounded so much like the cartoon. The Lion King is one of my favorite Disney movies of all time. I have seen my share of musicals and this is one that my sister, her daughter and I will never forget. We now have unforgettable memories and we would see it again without any hesitation. Cannot say enough about this wonderful lifetime experience. Everything in this production was done so well and is so beautiful to see that it makes you feel so good inside and happy to be alive.

    Lion King, Fabulous!

by MsLisa on 2015-08-12Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The Lion King musical play was completely worth the time and investment! My grandson of 6 years was just able to keep on track for the play. I was concerned the play may not hold his attention, but he was able to appreciate the play. The comments from my grandkids 6 and 7 years old were "the play was awesome", I can only concur. The Lion King play was delightful with beautiful colors, costumes and well acted; from the young Simba to Simba the Lion KIng. Some of us older folk appreciated a few of the new additions to the play in Nola's solo and reference to Frozen adding some modern twists to the play. Wow! is all I can say. From the music, with special note to the drums- the African tones, to the acting and singing, costumes, lighting and props, Well Done!!

Disney could have done a better job there was a lot to be desired. The actors were great, the set and background were very minimal.
