    Too long

by Dennis on 2024-02-27BC Place - Vancouver

It was fun to watch. But I think it was too long due to mixing the women's games with the men. This made the day too long and I wasted most my time walking around because I didn't want to watch the boring women's matches. Make men's and women's games on seperate days.

Super fun weekend at BC Place. Drinks very expensive $22.50 before tip for 1 pint of beer!

Awesome event but concessions too expensive

by Pstlpete on 2024-02-27BC Place - Vancouver

I go to the rugby 7’s every year, great event, Rugby is awesome, people watching is fun too with everyone dressing up. Concession is ridiculously expensive. $17.50 for the cheapest pint of beer, and most of the beer I drank was flat or off aswell. If you are there for just the rugby, and don’t want to eat or drink anything, it’s perfect.

    Love it

by DWM on 2024-02-26BC Place - Vancouver

What an exciting weekend of great matches. Best tournament I’ve been to and I’ve watched a lot sports in my life. Been going a couple years now and won’t miss Vancouver rugby sevens for nothing. Love how everyone throws on their costumes and get to view international sports on such a high level.

    It was a BLAST

    by Widnes1943 on 2024-02-26BC Place - Vancouver

I was there solo on Friday and with my 4 grandsons on Sunday. We all enjoyed the 7s circus. It was all action all the time which may have held the attention of rugby neophytes but sometimes got in the way of focusing on the matches for long-time players, referees, and fans (e.g, me). Imo the music should have been cut off 10 seconds before every kick-off and conversion attempt to allow the players and referees to concentrate on the match. That it usually continued until the ball was in the air at kick-offs was carnival stuff, not rugby. I appreciated the concise announcements of scorers and scores but the description of missed conversions as "no good"was crass and insulting. This was only the second time I have attended the 7s. The first was in 2016 on Vancouver's debut in the list of venues. Imo the overall standard of rugby was better in 2016, but for mass entertainment value 2024 won out.

    Rugby 7's

by Richard on 2023-03-10BC Place - Vancouver

Very Good BUT It was a MAJOR MISTAKE mixing the women's 7's in with the men's. SORRY - this sounds harsh but TRUE. I have been going to the 7's for the past 10 years globally and this is the 1st time the women's games have been mixed into the men's. Too disruptive! As good as the women are and they are, it is much BETTER to watch the men's tournament straight through as opposed to men / women / men / women. It is a fact - the men are better at the game. Politically incorrect I know but TRUE - SO keep them separate! If you do this again I will go to another city / country to watch them! Thanks for asking & listening.

    Amazing family event

Everything was quick and simple, from the entrance, to finding our seats. The selection of food and drinks was phenomenal. The venue was a little cold...

Best event of the year as per

    Allmost perfect.

by Starry on 2023-03-08BC Place - Vancouver

Good stadium, good atmosphere but to pay over $20 for a pint of below average beer is the biggest scam of them all, should be ashamed to even ask that much for a beer.

    Incredible experience!

by Jules on 2023-03-08BC Place - Vancouver

As someone who’s never followed Rugby I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy it but from the moment we walked in at 9am until the final game my whole family was hooked and the atmosphere was amazing!

    Fun for everyone!

by Lilyalz on 2023-03-07BC Place - Vancouver

It was my first time and I absolutely loved it! The costumes, the energy, the teams it was a great way to spend the day/night with family and friends. I did wish there was a commentary while the game is on, it’ll get us to be more engaged more and know the players names from other countries. I can’t wait to go again next year!

Need more food stalls. Variety of foods are needed. Different countries and cultures have different tastes too.

Excellent event, loads of fun but expensive sides

by Max on 2023-03-07BC Place - Vancouver

The rugby was amazing, the cost to get in was reasonable; however the food, beer and parking are incredibly expensive. Will have second thoughts about attending in the future due these side expenses.

Love this event, but the beer prices are insane!

by Donny on 2023-03-07BC Place - Vancouver

Love the rugby sevens! So much fun, the sport is always entertaining and the crowd even more so. The thing that keeps me to just attending one day though is the ludicrous beer prices. $22 for a full size beer, then they prompt you to tip! That is the most ridiculous upcharge I have ever seen! Next year I think I might just watch it for free at home and crack a cold one on my couch.
