Metallica was formed by drummer Lars Ulrich and singer/guitarist James Hetfield in Los Angeles in 1981; since then, their astonishing career milestones include winning eight Grammys and selling over 125 million albums worldwide, including the critically-acclaimed Master of Puppets (1986), often cited as one of the most important metal albums in history. They are also one of the most popular and commercially successful touring acts in history — according to Pollstar, as of 2019 Metallica had sold over 22 million tickets and grossed $1.4 billion in touring since 1982. Metallica’s fifth studio album, Metallica (1991), famously known as The Black Album, has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide and features some of the band’s biggest hits: “Nothing Else Matters,” “The Unforgiven” and “Enter Sandman.” On six consecutive genre-defining studio albums (from 1991’s Metallica through 2016’s Hardwired… to Self-Destruct), Metallica has consistently debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. In support of their 2023 album 72 Seasons, Metallica’s M72 World Tour will see the band playing two nights in every city they visit throughout 2023-24.

Le spectacle était parfait, mais le son était médiocre
I would of given it 5 stars hadn't it not been for the sound quality of the big O. They have to do something about it. With today's technology and know how. It's hard to fathom it cannot be improved. Now I realize that Metallica is on the the road in support of their new album and fully expect they would play songs from it. I think they could of had more of their classics on their setlist. They certainly can rock the house though and continue to attract new metal fans to this day. Pantera, FFDP, Ice Nine Kills and Mammoth all did an outstanding job and rocked the house like there was no tomorrow. All in all, its in my top concert's of all time. The Big O has to do something to improve the sound of they want to be a Venue that the big want to play in.
Thank you for two amazing nights Im sorry the Stade Olympique was not at the height of your talent soundwise !
Metallica was amazing but the sound at the Stade Olympique very awful. They have to improve that if they want to have that kind of shows at that price.
Regardless of the sound in the Big-O, it sounded great on the floor! Probably due to them having 8 columns of speakers going in a circle. One of the best shows I have seen, can't wait till they come back! METALLICA FOREVER!
Expérience visuelle exceptionnelle !! L'expérience auditive était moins exceptionnelle. Trop d'échos. Mais des bons show!
Le spectacle fut un succès mis à part le son qui obtient la note de 8/10
Was really disappointed my the show. 1.The sound was horrendous, but Metallica was bearable.. couldn't make out a single word of the other bad..it was echoing that much there.. Venue sucks. 2. Too much use of AI images on screen. They don't actually show Metallica play live..If I wanted to see some AI screen. I'd have seen YouTube. Very bad experience!!!
The band was amazing as usual! Incredibly in shape for people of this age!!! Incredible music and light effects during Metallica's performance. They share their energy with the crowd and made us passed one the best moment in our life for sure! It is clearly one of the best group of music of all times. The reason why I gave 3 stars is because the sound in the Olympic Stadium of Montreal is crap (I'd use another word if I could but I want to stay polite!) We couldn't hear almost any words of the songs of FFDP which was one of our favorite group and the main reason why we buy those tickets so it was really disapointing! Same thing for INK, didnt't hear the singer at all. There should never have anymore events like this at this stadium cause they can't offer the quality of sound that is required.
Was a deadly concert! Loved the bands, especially when Ivan Moody took my phone and continued recording and when James and Rob from Metallica played right in front of us!!
Friday night sound was terrible when Lars started running double bass drum we couldnt hear James singing .Friday and sunday night the drivers (high frequency are too strong for the olympic stadium the sound was running all over the place too much echo in my opinion low frequency and mid was ok but high frequency way out :) but overall the show was out of this world excellent and two day show hope more group would look this venue because you bring lots of people on a weekend and meet each other and at the end was really fun.Hope that on the right part more group need to make two day event it was awesome metallica created something :)
It’s a well known issue that the olympic stadium isn’t made for concerts. But it’s metallica. Friday was insane!
First metal show and the boys killed it The Olympic stadium has bad acoustics but besides that pantera, 5fdp and Metallica! I mean come on these bands are legendary
Très bon show ,le son quand même acceptable pour le stade olympique siège dans la section 220 N🤟🔥
Electrifying show and visuals! However, the sound mixing of the Vocals of all bands were very poor!
Bands and show were amazing! Sound not so awesome due to the echoing, especially for Pantera which was disappointing. Loved 5 Finger Death Punch - am a new fan of theirs. Ice Nine Kills put on a good show and theatrical performance. Metallica was phenomenal and put on a fabulous performance and show with fireworks, fire and lights, in particular on Sunday. They still rock hard. The venue did not have enough washrooms, or supplies, like toilet paper. Soap at one washroom was in a used water bottle that you had to pour out on to your hands. Line ups for days! Garbage pile mountains everywhere. Feel the venue should have taken better care of their guests. But the guests, the people attending were all pretty awesome. No stupidness, everyone just had an awesome time.
The show was great but the sound could have been better. There was alot of echos. Would have preferred if it was at the Bell Center. I'm still glad I went and hope that the next time they come back that its at the Bell Center.
Best band ever! They still got it. (Stade Olympique sound is not the best, but the band killed it!)
METALLICA put on a great show but the stadium had terrible acoustics. Lots of echo. But I didn't ruin my experience still loved the show! .
