About

Rob Zombie has mastered all angles of shock rock’s horror theatrics as both the frontman of his own “spookshow” solo act and the writer, director and music supervisor for nightmare-fueling films like 2005’s The Devil’s Rejects and the 2009 remake of Halloween. Zombie broke into the New York underground scene in 1985 as the co-founder and vocalist of White Zombie. By combining a childhood obsession for classic horror movies with musical interests that ranged from industrial rock to dance music, he cemented the band as one of the most influential alternative-metal acts ever by the time they disbanded in 1998. Rob Zombie continued his experimentation as a solo artist with his 1998 debut album Hellbilly Deluxe: 13 Tales of Cadaverous Cavorting Inside the Spookshow International, which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart and went triple-platinum behind his two highest-charting singles on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, “Dragula” and “Living Dead Girl.” After directing many of the music videos for White Zombie and his self-titled act, Zombie took his terrifying performance aesthetics to the big screen with his feature directorial debut, House of 1000 Corpses (2003). He’s simultaneously pursued both artistic outlets ever since, releasing his seventh solo album The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy in 2021 while directing the film adaptation of The Munsters in 2022.

    Alice for the win

by Anonymous on 2023-09-11Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Alice Cooper killed it. Filter was good. Ministry did their thing. Alice Cooper won the night hands down. Zombie had all the stage antics required but absolutely mailed in the vocal performance. I'm not even sure he knows the words to his own songs anymore. Not that anyone cares he's jumping around enough and the stage show is epic so there you go!

    What am I reviewing?

by Owen on 2023-09-10Budweiser Stage - Toronto

What am I reviewing? Rob Zombie or the venue? Rob Zombie was awesome! The venue want can I say about the venue aside from it being a total fucking rip off. 18 bucks for a tall boy at a Molson sponsored venue? 7 bucks for water? And, they have the balls to ask for gratuities on top of that? 60 bucks for a fuckn T-shirt? Come on. There’s profitable mark up, and there’s greedy gouging. Not impressed.

    would have enjoyed more but...

by Randall on 2023-09-10Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Never had seen Rob Zombie before and he put on a GREAT SHOW. Did not know all his music but he and the Band were Fantastic. Went to see Alice Cooper, as I had grown up with his music. He did not disappoint. The Show was Great. Musicianship was superb. Got there early enough to see Filter and they were very good as well. But despite going to nearly 200 shows in my lifetime, I never had as loud of a show as MINISTRY. No reason for that level of sound. Must be illegal. I had looked forward to seeing all the bands. But the Pain I still have in my ears.....NO KIDDING....still in pain 4 days later, was not worth going to the show. I even left after about a third of their set and went for shelter in the food area. Filter, Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie get a 5 star. But for Producers of the show, Ministry and any health officials allowing this, negative stars. The hearing loss was not worth the show. Disappointed it was allowed in the first place. I posted this rating because Ticketmaster asked my opinion, So there it is. Will you do anything about this? OR AT LEAST A WARNING OR EARPLUGS sold at the venue. Would look forward to a reply.

    Mind blown

by Jacqui on 2023-09-10Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Wow! Zombie was on my bucket list and he did not disappoint. Wow wow wow! He sounded amazing, he was full of energy, he interacted with the crowd and he was funny. Visually the show was insane!!!!!! I have seen a lot of concerts at a lot of venues in both Canada and the United States and this show brought me so much absolute joy I can’t believe it! I was in awe! I would have loved to have heard Never Gonna Stop and Devil’s Rejects on the set list, but I really can’t complain. If you have any thoughts about seeing Zombie- make it happen- it will change your life!

It was a good show. Alice was nice to see since I have never before. One time I walked a little closer to take a short video on my phone I was stopped by security. Really 1 min video??? Beat it! Other than that the venue is great!

    Great Show

by Jimie Jeans on 2023-09-09Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Great show. It would be nice to have porta potties in the parking lot. Also, it would be nice to have the ability to upgrade seat or lawn tickets to a floor ticket for a reduced extra price if there are floors available. Also bring back the bar in the pit area.
