The Wallflowers performed at the Paradise Rock Club on Saturday, September 29th. It was such a good time, I really didn't want it to end. Besides the great music, I always enjoy Jakob's sound bites between songs and Jakob was having one of his more loquacious nights. In addition to fan favourites from Bringing Down the Horse - One Headlight, 6th Avenue Heartache, Three Marlenas and The Difference, The Wallflowers played most of the songs from their new album, Glad All Over, which is being released (I still prefer that to dropped!) on October 9th. I don't know how they do it but the Wallflowers just seem to get better and better. The sound from the new album is filled with hard knocking tunes like Reboot the Mission and It's a Dream to dreamy rock-like ballads like Love is a Country and It Won't Be Long. I just can't seem to get enough of these guys!
