    Glambert is Fantastic!!!!

by ChristineP on 2010-06-22Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

LOVED LOVED LOVED the concert. Would have liked him to speak more to the crowd between songs instead of turning down the lights to do whatever...it's about connecting with the crowd - the fans. BUT there is NO WAY to be disappointed with this. FANTASTIC GLAMBERT!!1!

I thought the concert was really great; Adam Lambert was incredible! All of the acts were great, but AL REALLY delivered. The staff was awesome; an older woman behind me was mean and nasty and getting drunker, so they had security talk to her. Then it seemed like she was going to be sick, so they removed her and let us move forward a couple rows to get away from the mess she made; that was very great of them. They were polite and helpful, all day, despite it being a really long event. A lot of people were confused about the concert itself. Only AL was on the ticket, and listed the concert as starting at 3. Unless you went to separate website, away from where you bought the ticket, would you find out a LOT of bands were playing and AL wasn't on until 9pm. I think that should have been explained much better and much more obvious!

    Wham Bam thank you Lamb

by Ronikaye on 2010-06-22Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

I can not speak for anything that happened at this event prior to 6 pm, as we did not go out until then, but man what a show. We got there just as Orianthi took the stage. She was great. We saw Danny Fernandez, and Kardinal Offinshal. All excellent shows. But of course we were there for one thing and one thing only, and that was Adam. Wow, what a show he put on. The only thing I wish is that we had been closer. Section 200 was great seats, but I would like to have been closer. The sound guys need to work on the quality of the sound,. Everything was just loud- it was not clear- not as clear as it should have been, But I can not knock Adam's performance- he is just wonderful. I love him and I really love to watch him dance and listen to his amazing voice. I can't wait to see him again- this is the second time I have seen him- nice to see him outside of the American Idol pop stuff and in his real element- being himself. It was great to have the opportunities for the meet and greet- my daughter got Orianthi's autograph and she has been on cloud 9 since. Great show. Good job. For future reference, do a better job on the SOUND.... loud is fine, but loud and distorted is not. Forty bucks for a tshirt is absurd, but I bought two. Still, 40 bucks is absurd.

    Lambert rocked the show

by RockyBullwinkle on 2010-06-22Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Besides the tween girls screaming in front of the stage all afternoon, the Wham bam lacked any sort of Wham or Bam for much of the afternoon. The opening acts such as Karl Wolf and Danny Fernandes certainly entertained those directly in front of the stage, (or was it the free t-shirts those young girls were screaming for?) but lacked the energy to pull in the attention of the rest of the audience. More than once someone asked me "Are you here for Adam Lambert? That's all I'm here for." Things picked up with the energetic set of Kardinal Offishall. That guy knows how to get people moving. Once he got on the stage it seemed as if it wouldn't be such a bad concert after all. He saved the afternoon. And that is where Adam Lambert came in and stole the show, making it the Adam Lambert Evening and causing the audience to forget anyone else had been performing at all. The energy coming from Lambert was returned by the enthusiatic audience. The screams of excitement were incredible and did not just come from teenage girls. Everyone from young women to 55 year old fathers were on their feet, their seats forgotten. Everyone's heart was on the stage with Lambert. Lambert gave an energetic, flamboyant show featuring numbers such as Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" and an acoustic version of his song "Aftermath". There was no need for lip synching here. His vocal range was appreciated by everyone, and the love the audience gave for each number was a testament to how welcome Adam Lambert is in Toronto. Wham Bam was all about Glambert.

    Adam and Orianthi were fantastic!

by Peekie on 2010-06-22Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

I have to say we did not know when we got the tickets for our daughter that it was a whole bunch of artists performing. We only knew Adam and Orianthi would be there. Our daughter loved it all and so did my husband and I. The autograph sessions were the highlight of our daughter's day. She actually got to meet and get a picture of herself and Orianthi. It was too bad that Adam wasn't signing but I could understand why; the people went crazy when he had to do an interview for the radio station. My daughter almost got trampled by a woman who must have been in her 40's. The adults were acting crazier by far than the kids LOL. The only drawback for us was that there was a lot of rap and we really can't stand rap music but we could go line up for autographs while the rappers were on and not have to sit there for it so that was good. We will definitely go to the Wham Bam performance next year.

A Surprise Glam Nation Stop at Wham Bam

by marsha11 on 2010-06-21Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

I got to the venue at around 8:15pm so I can't comment on the early acts. (It was a bit surprising that there was no re-admission for the all day concert.) Kardinal Offishall was on stage at the time and he was an energetic performer working hard to rev up the audience. From the crowd streaming in close to 9pm to fill up the venue (9000 seats in the theatre alone + lawn), it was clear that many came specifically to see Adam Lambert (the headliner) in concert. Since Wham Bam was never advertised as an Adam Lambert Glam Nation Tour stop, it was a very pleasant surprise to find out that was what we were getting. The 1+ hour concert flew right by and it was a treat in both visual and audio. Projector screens, staging, lighting, interesting costumes, colorful lasers (the effect really showed up in the later part of the concert when the sun light's gone from the outdoor venue), great dancers/dancing, and of course the stunning vocals. It was an all in one dance, rock, pop, and acoustic concert. It was sexy, vulnerable, fun, rockstar-empowering and was just awesome all around. Great energy from the audience too, most stood/danced for the whole concert except for a few who opted to sit down (and catch their breath?) during the slower acoustic songs. The last song (before encore) “If I Had You” was like a giant dance party and a totally fitting end to a great show.

    Too bad about the sound

by ChrisRogers on 2010-06-21Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

The concert began at 3pm. We were never told we would have to suffer through 6 hours of garbage before Adam Lambert came on stage at 9pm. Then to boot, the sound was terrible, we even spoke to the security guard at the sound booth and she ignored us. You couldn't hear any voices from the stage through the speakers, it was all garbled. Terrible stuff.

    SHORT BUT STILL PRETTY SWEET

by CODelivers on 2010-06-21Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Adam LAmbert performed great but set was short and the encore of 1 song SHOULD have been expanded to showcase some of his awesome cover tunes he did on AIdol. K.Offishall was decent but his MIc was way too LOUD.

    Adam was great but....

by Total2010 on 2010-06-21Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

I purchased tickets that I thought were exclusively for an Adam Lambert' concert tour. Starting time being 3.00pm, myself many fans waited for 6+ hours, just to see Lambert. We had to sit through a plethora of simply dreadful performances and many fans were upset, with some leaving before Adam showed up. Many of Adam's fans are small kids and seniors, who were not prepared for this kind of wait time. I think the problem was, that the Wham Bam concert should have been marketed for what it really was, which was a day-night concert with Adam having a guest spot. It would have been better for the pschology of the fans, many of whom were pretty exhausted by the time Adam appeared, as we all didnt anticpate this. As such, I dont think that he got the kind of response that he really deserved.

Adam Lambert is so talented and I love his makeup. It was well worth the 6 hour wait. I enjoyed the other acts very much, but Adam Lambert was the reason I bought the tickets.

    Adam is unbelievable live !

by Glambert on 2010-06-21Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

I LOVED the show.! Iv been waiting for Adam to come to Toronto for the longest time! I loved the way the day was set up. Getting autographs was amazing! I wish Adam had an autograph session, but it's understandable considering he's on a deadline. I REALLY wish there was more merchandise?! Adams GlamNation tour has tons , and I felt this was lacking. Even a poster would have been nice. Either way, Adam truly does sing a perfect as he Sousa on his CD For Your Entertainment, and puts on an amazing show!

    Adam Lambert was Awesome

by TT2010 on 2010-06-21Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Adam Lambert was Awesome. He sounded great and put on a great stage show. I would have preferred to see him with just one opening band and for him to have played longer.

    Adam Lambert Rocks!

by Jeagles on 2010-06-21Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

The Adam Lambert concert at the Molson Amphitheatre was excellent. I do wish that Adam was able to be on stage a little longer. Hopefully next time he comes he will be able to perform a few more songs. We wanted to purchase a t-shirt but were unable to find any vendors before or after the show to buy from :( Adam is awesome, hot, talented, and VERY entertaining ;) I'm looking forward to seeing him again some day soon!

    A stunning concert!

by Adamfanforev on 2010-06-21Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

No one could take their eyes off the stage. Was it the grand light effects, or the surreal sound system, or the amazing singer in the middle? Adam was amazing and content during his entire concert and it showed extremely well in his performance and in the crowd. The fans of Adam Lambert will have an atonished memory of this wonderful concert that will last a lifetime.
