  • Monster Jam Incredible Show...

by NewMonsterJamFan on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

We went to see Monster Jam at the Rogers Centre last Saturday and I have to admit that although I was a bit sceptical (my husband talked me in to buying the tickets) the sheer joy on my 10 year old son's face was worth all the money in the world. He said it was "the best day of his life so far". We stayed after for signatures and the drivers were very obliging even though I am sure they were tired and had a show coming up the following day. I read there were some issues with fumes at Copps but we did not encounter any of that at the Rogers Centre. It was a bit loud but quite tolerable. We wore earplugs though. All in all, a great show and a great family outing!

  • Monster Jam was great!

by kvcv on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

We have been attending the Monster Jam at Rogers Centre for the last 8 years. Every year is fantastic. The trucks that were there were great but there was a lack of recognizable trucks - Grave Digger, El Toro Loco and Bounty Hunter were the only trucks that we recognized from watching Monster Jam on Speed. Also, my kids found that the time qualifying for the racing was boring - it would be better perhaps to do that beforehand and just start with the quarter finals so that there is less lag time. The FMX was incredible but not long enough. My kids also missed the remote control hobby enthusiasts who in previous years came out between the monster trucks to entertain the crowd.

  • Monster Jam getting worse

by Agazoom on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

This was the 4th year I attend, and I have to say the quality of the monster trucks on the show is diminishing rapidly. The first couple of years, there seemed to be at least 3-4 really well-known trucks among the field. The action during the free-style, which let's face it, is why everyone is there was furious, and you could tell everyone did their best to put on a show. Over the last couple of years, it's basically been 10 cars simply riding over the bumps and hills like a Ford F-150 commercial and only GraveDigger dazzling everyone with a furious ride at the end. I don't think I will be attending anymore.

Wasn't as exciting as last year. We went on Sunday, perhaps the Saturday show was better.

  • monster jam flop

by frankp on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Sorry to say we were disappointed for the first time in 4 years watching monster jam. The trucks were constantly breakin down. We know that the trucks go through alot bot when you start losing trucks before the freestyle and breakdowns in the race it gets disappointing! Overall still enjoyed the rest of the entertainment and hoped sundays show was much better for the fans!

  • Monster Jam - Not what it used to be

by GreenBrood on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

We were left disappointed with the event. Out of a dozen trucks, only 3 would be considered top-rank vehicles...the rest of the field was made up of what appeared to be weekend warriors. Both the race and the freestyle brought memories of WWF action, since it really appeared that all comers bowed to Grave Digger. Bounty Hunter's break down during the freestyle would probably seem legitimate to the uninformed, but appeared to be staged. The freestyle was pathetic...many of the weekend warriors clearly exercised caution...since repairs would probably cut into their beer money. Save your money and watch it on TV. The course was lame.

  • A bit repetitive

by AnotherHabfan on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

Nothing new - too much of the same stuff over and over. Pretty much a give the kids what they want Grave Digger Show!

  • Not as good as last year

    by zyxw123 on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

Definitely not as good as last year. It looked like most of the trucks in the freestyle were afraid to break something. Best part of the show was the dirt bikes at intermission.

  • Monster Jam

by Dapackageguy on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

The Sunday show was decent. The best moment of the show was the girl Tisha singing the american and canadian anthems...wow..what a voice... Lackluster field...only big names were grave digger, bounty hunter and el toro loco- all had mechanical problems and were not performing to the full during freestyle...

I have been to alot of monster jam shows, but this one was the best yet. The guys really know how to put on a show. They are real genuine, nice guys. Friendly to talk to and make sure that everyone gets an autograph/picture duringthe pit party.

It was a good show, not amazing. Some parts were boring and it was very loud!!

  • by Anonymous on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

much of what I expected. Trucks being to careful. Can easily predict the outcome of the head to head races( El toro loco losing to gravedigger even after the replay shows that gravedigger lost) fake arousal for the fans. choreographed truck flips. The adults can easily see this but the kids just took it for what it`s worth. I don`t know if I will be going to such shows in the future. ticket prices too high. Souvenir prices too high. My four year old son wanted to leave early. Not as exciting as before.

  • Toronto Monster Jam 2010

by MolsonCdn on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Racing was very good, freestyle was below par. Field of trucks was disappointing with alot of the popular trucks not attending (Max D, Blue Thunder, Batman, Monster Mutt etc...) The filed of trucks directly translated into a very poor showing in the freestyle

  • Monster Jam was fantastic

by smilesallaround on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

The kids smiled from ear to ear thru the whole event. Couldn't wait to see the Free Style event. Will be back again. Hope to see more Big name teams especially Maximum Destruction. Thanks

Excellent Show! I would have two recommendations: 1. I would have is the smash-up derby earlier and have the Gravedigger or one of the monster trucks end the show with freestyle. 2. Have the derby in the middle of the field.

  • Great father/son experience

    by mdthomas8 on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Took my 5 year old to this - he was in heaven! Only recommendation - bring earplugs.

  • Monsterjam

by MonsterRogersCenter on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Great action by the truck and roller durby. The roller durby was exciting with great action. One of the roller durby car caught fire for a brief moment causing great excitement.

  • Junkers

by DylanThomas on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

I was so disappointed. My 6 year old son did get to see El Toro Loco, which broke down, as well as Grave Digger. That was it. The rest of the trucks were broken down "B" Level trucks from nowhere. If you arent going to bring the A level trucks and drivers you shouldnt bother holding the event. I can see trucks getting more air when jumping curbs to get a coffee at Tim Hortons. Total waste of money

  • Grave Digger sets the standard high

by MonsterMom on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Our family of 6 really enjoyed the matinee performance of Monster Jam. Grave Digger cleaned house, although he did have a photo finish in the racing semi-finals. On a technical level Grave Digger excelled in the freestyle but my kids enjoyed the performance by American Guardian the best and were disappointed with his score.

  • Monster Jam was fun!

by Mommie on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

This is our 4th year in a row and my child still loves it. It was disappointing that the concession stand had initially run out of ear plugs. Noting the number of kids that attend this event every year, which can be predetermined on ticket sales, ear plugs/ear protection should be readily available.
