  • Oh hum...

by MerWiz on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

This event of Monster Jam was much slower then last year. More trucks broke quickly and moments of excitement were few and far between. There's only so much fun to be had watching some guy with bad aim fire t-shirts into the audience. Also, where's the excitement when all the cars are already crushed before the event even starts?

  • Monster Jam was AWESOME

by Jaedon on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

When asked on the ride home how the event was my 7 and 4 year old boys responded in unison... " IT WAS AWESOME!!!!" That's was all I needed to hear. Thank you monster Jam for providing a family friendly event that made both of my childrens days.

I have been going to this event for the past five years and this had to be the worst year ever. The trucks that were on the show this year were not star attraction trucks other than Grave Digger and El Toro Loco. When it came to the freestyle portion of the show the event just died, the trucks were not giving their 100% and was quite dissapointing. I have been loyal to this event but i am now having second thoughts about returning. I am dissapointed in the drivers and overall show which is ended up as a cash grab for people to buy t-shirts and hats without the intensity from the drivers to give a good show.

  • monster jam sucked

by doggigigger on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

this monster Jam was the 3rd on I have been to in toronto and by far the worst. the trucks were all broker, half of the big names were not there. like did they just bring a bunch of junk broke trucks for us to watch???? the heavily awaited freestyle was more like a joke style, the trucks were slow, most broke down and coulnt even compete in the freestyle, gravedigger ended at the end of the freestyle like a joke! just stopped and nothing else! no cross threads! backwards jumps! NOTHING!!!! this event sucked I wasted $200 bucks on these jokes, people watch it at home its better and you dont have a bunch of asses in your view.

The overall Show was Great. The kids and the adults enjoyed it very much. Only Complaint entrance to the Pit Party was too Short.

Disappointed with the quality of the trucks this year. Last few years there was the more popular "branded" trucks with their great drivers. This year it seemed alot of the trucks had some mechanical issues with their trucks.

What a great way to spend quality time with the family.

  • good entertainment value

My Partner, his son and I, went to Monster Jam yesterday. It was the first time either of them have been to such an event. We all had a good time, we had great seats and the cost was respectable. We enjoyed the demolitian Derby at the end..that seemed to be a high-light for my step son. I was shocked at how many young children were sitting there with no protective ear gear...what a shame that these parents are that irresponsible. Fun event over-all and not very expensive if you are looking for cheap afternoon.

  • A blast

    by Green6866 on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

I guess it helped that we took a 5 and 6 year old that are constantly playing monster trucks. They were sitting on the edge of their seats for most of the show. The smashup derby at the end was a lot of fun too.

  • Monster Jamilicious

by DanielNDad on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

It was a night filled with flips, crashes and overall monster truck madness. If you have little kids, they will love it. The good seats get you close to the action, but its not for the faint of heart. When a truck rolls over, and its rolling towards you, its scary!

  • Monster Jam is LOUD!!!!!

by Kittyhawke on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Not a lot of big name trucks this year! Really slow show at times................the noise is unbelievable!!!! and I was wearing ear protection, I wouldn't have survived without it. The outcome is predictable - Grave Digger always comes out on top. Enjoyable for my son but painful for a single mother to sit through! It would be a great idea if you could drop the children off in a supervised section and then go to a parent lounge that had refreshments and other entertainment (not the show) and then we could pick them back up safely when the show was over - and not have to spend $30 on an adult ticket when the adult doesn't want to see the show anyway. Just a thought............

  • Monster flop

    by medic150 on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

Went to see this show in Toronto because we went two years ago and it was amazing. This year out of 12 trucks there were only 3 big name trucks...other 9 were either unknowns or virtually unknown. Very poor freestyle event...none of the trucks gave it their all so to speak except one and he did not even win because as usual Grave Digger has to win everything! One truck got a flat during racing and there was at least 1 1/2 hours before freestyle but they did not even bother to change the tire so that truck missed freestyle. Kind of a boring show! Crowd was very quiet...the announcer kept saying "I can't hear you Toronto" and I'm like thats because we are bored!!!!

  • Great time at Monster Jam

by Bester on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

We had a good time at Monster Jam. My son absolutely loved it. I am pretty sure that Gravedigger would have won no matter what, but it's for the kids and they had a good time.

  • Disappointing

by Anonymous on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

As a rule, we love Monster Jam. This is our third time to see it in Toronto. The show we attended 2 years ago at the Rogers Center was amazing. This year..not so much. There were barely any big name trucks there. Grave Digger, Bounty Hunter and El Toro Loco, other than that the rest were second rate trucks some of which we've seen at small local "Monster Madness" shows..small town stuff. Most of the trucks went thru the Free Style like they were afraid to get a scratch on the truck. Where were all the big guns?? As a result of the second rate turnout, this will probably be our last Monster Jam trip to Rogers Center. I guess we'll just watch it on TV. Thanks for the effort, but it gets a fail.

  • Monster Truck

by Latina on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The Show was great, I will recomend it to anyone to go and see it.

  • A little less than expected.

by parklights on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

The kids liked the show but if you buy a program, expect to spend the afternoon explaining why only a couple of the trucks in it are there. Very few of the big stars made it to Toronto. Of course Grave Digger was given the win for all events this weekend.

  • not worth it

by suefrommissisauga on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

Attended the Roger Centre Monster Truck event last night. This was one of the worst events I promised to take my son to. I have been taking my son to these events for many years and I was very very very disappointed. I remember a time when there was a dirt track all the way around the arena, where actual dirt bikes would race around , NOT 4 dirt bikes doing 5 tricks each , where everything moved along smoothly, not wait and wait for up to 15 minutes for the next event… the previous events were action packed events….. something always going on, the kids were always entertained… .. last night’s event.. Not worth the money I paid for the tickets..

  • Need more Monster in MONSTER JAM

by RGKT on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

I've been attending Monster Jam in Toronto for 5 years with my boys and I'm disappointed that Toronto fails to draw the premiere trucks and drivers. The only premiere trucks were Grave Digger and Bounty Hunter and even then they were staffed by the alternate drivers. Last year (2009) was the first time Dennis Anderson had been here since they started running Monster Jam in Toronto, needless to say that was a big deal. Years ago we had Batman and Superman but they haven't been in years. The smaller trucks with the smaller sponsorships just can't or won't push the limits on their trucks, probably because they can't afford to fix them like the big franchises (Digger, Maximum Destuction, Bounty Hunter, etc.). This results in a lack lustre freestyle event where at least 50% of the trucks just roll over the jumps. I didn't see anyone on their feet at freestyle and the crowd wasn't over enthusiastic. There just weren't the moments to get people excited. I think the freestyle motorcross at half time got bigger roars. I'm not sure why Toronto doesn't draw the headline trucks and drivers but I'd really like to see some more Monster at MONSTER JAM in the future.

  • No one beats Grave Digger!

by Akki on 2010-01-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Very entertaining and exciting event. The legend Grave Digger blew everyone away
