Wow... it was a great show to see as a family... even my 9 year old daughter loved it!!! not to mention my 7 year old boy that was over the moon and said it was his best christmas gift that he got so far... one thing i found is that is you have little ones there bring ear plugs,, cause it's fun and lound,.... till next time we will be going again :)
I've been going to monster jam for the past 7 years and this year was the worst event. Most of the trucks broke down and could not compete.
I have been going to the Rogers Center for the last 5 years for Monster Jam and I have to say this year wasn't so great. In previous years there was more offered in the show for example the "Street Warriors" was not there and there wasnt much replacing it.. In previous years there were Quad racing but once again there weren't any this year. I am seriously thinking of trying out the Detroit show at Ford Field... I do not understand why you have the Toronto show and the Detroit show on the same weekend??? Wouldn't it be more beneficial if you staggered the shows? Then people in Canada could have the chance to pick up both shows and visa versa..
Once again Monster Jam turns out to be a great day of fun and excitement for the whole family. My 3 and 6 year old loved the noise and destruction that took place down at the Rogers Centre. From the pit party before the show to the thunder of the monsters and the unbelievable stunts performed by the FMX riders this event never disappoints.
The Monster jam folks should provide a better description of the event in terms of what trucks are included in the show. Nothing like the events shown on TV from other US events. The TV events show more trucks and they are all known as well as the drivers. An event like this should have at least 80% known trucks and drivers. That means 9 or 10 known trucks and perhaps 2 or 3 local or new trucks not the other way around. Both my son and I were disappointed. Where was Max D, Taz, Avenger, bat man, iron man, and so many others? I want to know exactly who will be at the event before I buy another Monster Jam ticket. This is not good Advance Auto Parts.
Luckily Grave Digger was at the event to save the show. There were many break downs, and one truck that never even started the event. It would be nice if Monster Jam sent a few more well know trucks to Toronto.
Very impressive show, we were amazed! It was a lot of fun to see Grave Digger and other big trucks that we had seen on TV live. We had great seats for a very reasonable price!
the freestyle was great and would definately do the pit party again.
Although we were late and missed the first hour, we feel it was worth it. Lots of action, lots of trucks flipping...it was great!
My fourth year. But this year a little dissappointed. Too many trucks broke down. GRAVEDIGGER saved the night. Without that guy it would have been a lot more blah. That driver was amazing.
Positives: -The ground shook with horsepower. -Dramatic entry of Gravedigger. -The trucks grabbed giant air off the big jumps. Negative: Too many breakdowns.
very disappointed in the show this year. Alot of trucks didn't run. Good thing Grave Digger worked ..... I dont think we will go back again next year.... My kids were VERY disappointed....
the show was great lots of action the half time stuff was boring but all in all it was great all the trucks were so great...
the kids liked it but would have liked more jumps trucks and bikes . Less break down and they want to know does anyone else ever win
This year was pretty good. It is good for my 5 year old son who is a Grave Digger fan. But it would be nice to see more of the top names coming to compete. It is said that the arena is small but isn't that what proves who is a good driver? Bounty Hunter would have made a great freestyle, his racing was impressive for the length of it. Another surprise was Maniac, of course a Canadian driver, who did a great job! Randy Brown did a great job driving in both the freestyle and racing. We met all the drivers and almost all of them were very polite and seemed to be enjoying themselves. It is nice to see they seem to enjoy what they are doing. Toronto has some potential to attract some more big names, let's try for a better next year!
There was no tough trucks this year. The only good Monster Truck was Grave Digger the rest sucked or didn't stay running. I will say it was a waste of my money.Do not intend to go back next year that's for sure!!!!!!! I've been going for the last 6 or 7 years and this was the worse.
I was somewhat dissapointed in the show. To many breakdowns, and not enough of the big names ( maximum destruction,an escalade, blue thunder,etc.). It was almost as if they brought their winter beaters, cause it's only the Canadians. I am a fan of Monster Jam and watch it quite regularly on TV. I guess i was spoiled. My wife and daughter did enjoy, however they do not watch it on TV. It was only fair compared to what i was used to seeing. Maybe i'm to picky.Sorry
We are big Monster Jam fans and we attend every year. Although this year had alot of trucks breaking down we would recommend this family event to everyone!! Be sure to attend the pit party before the show, autographs and pictures!!!
Ordinarily a fun event. This was dissapointing. Almost every truck broke down. Long wait between events. Freestyle was the lameset ever seen. Grave Digger did bring down the house, but it was a long wait for his 2 minutes of excitement. There should be some kind of refund for a show that goes like this. I took 5 kids to this event. Cost over $200 and they had to resort to entertaining themselves (beating on me) to keep from being bored. The BMX show was impressive. The trucks underperformed terribly.
