About

Aerosmith have been one of the most iconic American rock bands for over 50 years. It started with their early ’70s rockstar lifestyle to their late ’80s comeback and sustained mainstream success through the new millennium. Forming in 1970 as a blues-rock group in Boston, Aerosmith released their self-titled debut in 1973. Although the band initially gained traction for their debut single “Dream On,” it wasn’t until their third album, 1975’s Toys in the Attic, that they exploded onto the international scene behind the multi-platinum singles “Sweet Emotion” and “Walk This Way.” The band’s 1987 album Permanent Vacation was positioned as a comeback of sorts, setting the stage for 1989’s Pump, which earned the group their first Grammy award in 1991 for “Janie’s Got a Gun.” In the 1990s, Aerosmith racked up three more Grammys, two chart-topping albums on the Billboard 200 with 1993’s Get a Grip and 1997’s Nine Lives and seven No. 1 singles on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. Although their core lineup of Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer and Brad Whitford has remained relatively unchanged throughout their five-decade career, Aerosmith have managed to reinvent themselves for multiple generations. Across 15 studio releases, Aerosmith have sold over 150 million albums worldwide.

    it's AMAAAAAAAAZING

by lilleigh on 2010-08-18Air Canada Centre - Toronto

What a GREAT show!! I knew Aerosmith would rock the house, but I certainly wasn't expecting the caliber of show I got... I can't express how amazing it was to FINALLY see them live (after last summer's tour-cancelling injury for Steven Tyler). This was a dream come true, and the show was great - my only wish is that it could have been longer!!

    Where's the voice?

by scatalin on 2010-08-18Air Canada Centre - Toronto

This is my first time seeing Aerosmith. I love this band and I always wanted to see them in a concert. They delivered a great experience tonight, with a few of their great songs and also some of their not that well-known ones. The concert was good, albeit with a few hiccups. I could hear the instruments very well, clear sound and everything. In fact, they were so clear they almost covered Tyler's voice. You *could* recognize the songs as being Aerosmith's by the sound, but Tyler's never rose above the drums and guitars (turn up that mike, please). It's definitely better to listen to Aerosmith on YouTube than in this concert. Is it the band, is it the ACC sound engineers? Not sure... Joe Perry crashing his guitar (twice) looked really faked, more like a rehearsal or a thing he had to do against his will.

    Aerosmith

by Battlestar on 2010-08-18Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Sound was terrible! It kept cutting in and out! It was a very unexciting setlist! IT was very cookie cutter! Would love to see them play a few more tracks and some older material. Seems to be the same old same old from these guys! Hagar played an awesome setlist! Same sound problem as Aerosmith. He interacted with the crowd more and played a great cross section of his catalogue of music.

    BEST CONCERT EVER!!

by xCatwomanx on 2010-08-18Air Canada Centre - Toronto

They sounded great. They were great. It was the best concert I have ever been to, and I've been to A LOT. Joe Perry was indescribably incredible. So was each member of the band, they all had their turn in the spotlight. Steve Tyler was insane. He was still crazy even at his age, and he can still sing spot on, and even do the high pitched scream parts. OVERALL, INCREDIBLE!!

    Loved Aerosmith

by SamSam69 on 2010-08-18Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Aerosmith was great. I was impressed with the band, as I've never seen them before. The opening band, Sammy Hagar & the Wabo's was really good as well. I liked that they played some Van Halen songs, and interacted with the audience a lot. We got the cheapest tickets, and were up the highest we could be. Not the best place to be. I was disappointed in the view that we had, as there are usually screens to each side showing the performance, but there was only one screen and it wasn't angled well, so it didn't really help. Overall I always have a good time at the ACC, as I see the bands I love.

    Excellent show!

by Sonner on 2010-08-18Air Canada Centre - Toronto

The band still knows how to rock, entertain and preform! We brought our teenage son and his buddy as these guys just don't skip a generation! Great selection of songs, too!

EPIC! AFTER ALL THESE YEARS THEY ARE AMAZING!!!

by SlashFan11 on 2010-08-18Air Canada Centre - Toronto

This was the BEST concert I have EVER been too..(and i go to a lot of shows) The energy on stage, the light show, Joe Perry's guitar solo... Steven Tyler sounds as good live as he does on CD. I was floored by every single thing about the show. LOVED IT. I dont think there is anything they could have done different that would have made it better. I will DEFINATLY go to another one.

    Aerosmith is still Kickin`

by Ballzy on 2010-08-18Air Canada Centre - Toronto

They could have played a little longer (under 2 hours). They sounded very good. They had good set list. They have too many good songs to play them all. I would go see them again on there own. I think they are too big to play with another quality act.

    Aerosmith was awesome

by Pichenotte on 2010-08-18Air Canada Centre - Toronto

The show last night was amazing. Have been waiting for this one since they cxld last year. Well worth the wait. Steven Tyler did not let any of his fans down despite the obvious unrest between band members. Still a fantastic show with many well known songs. Hope there will be more to come as an entire band.

by Louski on 2010-08-18Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Aerosmith (& Sammy Hagar) was AMAZING!!!

by Deborahcan on 2010-08-18Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Sammy came out and rocked it. I've always loved Sammy and he didn't disappoint! Had never seen Aerosmith in concert before and they were totally awesome. Steven Tyler had all those awesome moves...and his voice was fantastic. Joe Perry was very cool...though a bit hard to understand when speaking lol. Was especially amusing when Joe pushed Steven off the stage and Steven fell into the crowd :-0 One cool aspect was when Joe had a 'throwdown' with his alter-ego from Guitar hero. It was a lot of fun. Bottom line, definitely a fantastic show and one of the best I've ever been to. Def. worth every penny!

    AWESOME SHOW

by Steve123 on 2010-08-18Air Canada Centre - Toronto

This was my fourth or fifth Aerosmith Concert. I would have to say these boys get better with age. First of all Sammy Hagar and the Wobo's opened the event. They were awesome. I even got a sample shooter of his personal Cobo Wobo Tequila! mmm. He still sounds as good as he did 15 years ago. Steven Tyler was in fine form as usual. Quite impressive for a guy who is over 60! It seemed as though there was a little tension with the band but all in all they didn't an amazing show. Joey Kramer (drummer) did a kick ass drum solo and finished by throwing away his sticks and using his bare hands! Needless to say, if the band can keep it together for another tour I will be there again. If you have never seen Aerosmith live - put it on your bucket list. You won't be disappointed.

    Aerosmith always delivers!

by dubyalicious on 2010-08-18Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Once again Steve Tyler proves that he is one of the greatest rock front-men ever! He looks great, he commands a crowd and he can still hit that high note in "Dream On". Joe Perry and the rest of the band rocked the house and, as always, they had us up on our feet! This is a ROCK show!

    Amazing Solo

by Cookielips68 on 2010-08-18Air Canada Centre - Toronto

The drummer and guitar solos were amazing - I just want to know if Steve Tyler going to fall off every stage? I can't believe the variety of ages from teeny bobbers to baby boomers - Aerosmith still rocks

Great show, but missed a few classics

by SuzanneMiz on 2010-08-18Air Canada Centre - Toronto

High energy, powerful sound, great tunes. Steven Tyler can certainly belt out those tunes and his voice is spot-on! We brought our two young boys who are huge rock fans. They were severely disappointed when J"anie's Got A Gun" and "Dude Looks Like Lady" were skipped altogether. Although a great night, the band could have skipped the over indulgent guitar and drum solos (and the Beattles cover) to play their classic tunes - that is what fans want to see. That is why fans spend big bucks to see Aerosmith!
