About

Aerosmith have been one of the most iconic American rock bands for over 50 years. It started with their early ’70s rockstar lifestyle to their late ’80s comeback and sustained mainstream success through the new millennium. Forming in 1970 as a blues-rock group in Boston, Aerosmith released their self-titled debut in 1973. Although the band initially gained traction for their debut single “Dream On,” it wasn’t until their third album, 1975’s Toys in the Attic, that they exploded onto the international scene behind the multi-platinum singles “Sweet Emotion” and “Walk This Way.” The band’s 1987 album Permanent Vacation was positioned as a comeback of sorts, setting the stage for 1989’s Pump, which earned the group their first Grammy award in 1991 for “Janie’s Got a Gun.” In the 1990s, Aerosmith racked up three more Grammys, two chart-topping albums on the Billboard 200 with 1993’s Get a Grip and 1997’s Nine Lives and seven No. 1 singles on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. Although their core lineup of Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer and Brad Whitford has remained relatively unchanged throughout their five-decade career, Aerosmith have managed to reinvent themselves for multiple generations. Across 15 studio releases, Aerosmith have sold over 150 million albums worldwide.

Some good moments; Tyler's still the performer. Could feel the tension between him and Perry.

by Zirc on 2010-08-02MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

    Aerosmith rocked Vegas

by PompomBionique on 2010-08-01MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

Just coming home after a five hour flight from Vegas. Saw the Aerosmith show at the MGM Grand Arena. Just one word Fantastic. I saw the band at least 20 times in the last 34 years and this was one of the best shows. Sammy Hagar gave a great performance... this was one of the best opening acts I have ever seen. His interaction with the audience and the cocktail waitress was very good. Great selection of songs including gems from van Halen period. Great show. Aerosmith was awesome.. They played for about two hours without a dull moment. Kixked off the show with train kept a rollin. i was very impress with the stage set-up and the moving screens, especially during love in a elevator.

    What a great time!

by Juniorgonewild on 2009-08-18McMahon Stadium - Calgary

I must have had the best time of my life, because I don't remember a single thing from the concert. I mean it's like that whole day was erased from my memory...like they didn't even play. I'm not kidding! Definitely worth the $300 bucks.

    Aerosmith's presence was uncanny!!

    by 4shnr on 2009-08-14McMahon Stadium - Calgary

My goal was to see ZZ Top for a second time in my life. Their Antenna tour, viewed at Vancouver's Pacific Coliseum, is by far the loudest concert I've attended to date. Aerosmith's misfortune at a previous show was a huge disappointment to myself and my peers. They were going to their third Aerosmith show. My overall review is sadly opaque.

    Terrible non-performance!!!

by Incognita on 2009-08-14McMahon Stadium - Calgary

I don't know what to say, except the weather was monsoon-terrible and the band performed as if they weren't there!!! Oh wait, they really weren't there! Heard one of the old geezers nearly broke his neck last week as he fell off the stage. I'm really hoping my ticket gets refunded...

    Aerosmith Cancels Calgary Show

by janeo on 2009-08-14McMahon Stadium - Calgary

Due to Steven Tyler's fall off the stage in Sturgis, all shows in Western Canada were cancelled. For Calary Alberta fans this was probably a blessing in disguise since it poured buckets on the evening of the proposed event and was a balmy 11 degrees. Here's hoping the bad boys of Boston don't forget about their fan base in this part of the globe and re-schedule but perhaps Keystone needs to look at a more reliable venue then McMahon stadium because a reschedule in October could make for a snowy evening for fans.

    Wished It Was Longer....

by MrWrestler74 on 2009-08-01MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

A little sad that Aerosmith only played an hour and 15 minutes. Could do without the Perry solo tunes. A few more of their hits like 'Amazing', 'Dude Looks Like A Lady', 'Back In The Saddle' to just name a few. But as true to form rock legends they leave you wanting more. ZZ Top was great with 'Under Pressure' to kick it off, but the Blues set I could have done without, plus going an hour for their set, I would have preferred 15 minutes more Aerosmith. Overall a very good energetic show and the MGM Gardens was rocking from beginning to end.

Victoria family travelled to Las Vegas and was blown away by the bands. ZZ Top pumped out the classics and Aerosmith rocked out the crowd. Would like to see this again in Canada!

    Aerosmith rocks!!

by Consuela on 2009-07-28MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

This was an awesome concert, Aerosmith still rocks after all these years! It was just hit after hit...didn't realize I knew so many of their songs. Steven Tyler is one cool rockin' dude. The venue was great, MGM Grand does not have a bad seat in the house.
