About
Who better to carry on the legacy of Mötley Crüe, Thin Lizzy and AC/DC than a no-holds-barred Aussie quartet who shamelessly indulge in rock culture excess? Australia's Airbourne have been rocking out in the over-the-top style of their favorite '70s and '80s acts since 2001 and show no signs of slowing down.
Formed in Warrnambool in the early '00s, Airbourne initially consisted of brothers Joel and Ryan O'Keeffe, who played lead guitar and drums, respectively. They were soon joined by rhythm guitarist David Roads and Adam Jacobson on bass. Together, the quartet left for Melbourne and released their first EP: 2004's self-financed Ready To Rock.
Their fanbase expanded as Airbourne opened for big-name acts like The Rolling Stones and Mötley Crüe. In 2006, they traveled to the United States to record their debut album, Runnin' Wild, at Capitol Records with producer Bob Marlette. The album was later released in 2007 via Roadrunner Records.
That same year, Airbourne toured with Kid Rock and Korn and issued a live EP, Live At The Playroom. In 2010, they released their sophomore album, No Guts. No Glory, which was nominated for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album at the 2010 ARIA Music Awards. The next year, Airbourne supported Iron Maiden on the UK leg of their Final Frontier World Tour.
In 2013, the band released their third album, Black Dog Barking, which was produced by Brian Howes and later nominated for another ARIA Award for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album. The next year, Airbourne began recording their fourth studio album, Breakin' Outta Hell, which arrived in 2016.
Breakin' Outta Hell became the group's highest charting album in multiple countries: Australia at No. 13, Austria at No. 3, Germany at No. 3, Switzerland at No. 4, and UK at No. 9. It was also nominated for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album at the ARIA Music Awards in 2017. That same year, founding rhythm guitarist David Roads announced that he would be leaving the band. He was replaced by Matt "Harri" Harrison, who had previously played in Palace Of The King.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Runnin' Wild, Airbourne released a compilation album in 2017 called Diamond Cuts: The B-Sides. In 2019, the band released their fifth studio album, Boneshaker, which was produced by Dave Cobb and broke the Top 10 in Germany and Switzerland. In 2022, they hit the road for a North American tour. Catch this hard-rocking band live when they come to a city near you.

Mind blasting!
by greedy on 2013-05-17Lee's Palace - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5I went with my husband to this small venue concert and was blown away! From the guitars to the singer, this band is going to be around for a long time. They have taken the old school AC/DC sound and made it their own. The crowd was pumped from the time they came on till their last song. The sound system was bang on and the bands energy was amazing. We even got to interact with the crazy singer who hopped on some shoulders and paraded with his guitar around the bar! We preordered their album coming out which will sound as good as their previous ones. T shirts were awsome price. So glad they thought of the ladies with cut off shirt and tanks. think 10 for my shirt!
Airbourne
by Wally85 on 2013-05-17Lee's Palace - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5Airbourne put on their usual knock U over with a wall of sound show, but it was a bit short @ 70 mins. Not the greatest venue to move around in for getting a drink & washrooms. Preferred when they played the Phoenix last time in Toronto.
Such a good time
by whoaNelly on 2010-09-18The Starlite Room - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5Absolutely one of the most entertaining bands I have ever seen! Had a blast with a drink in my hand dancing like a rock star

Overall they are an AMAZING BAND and I will go see them every time they come.
Airbourne rocked Calgary!
by Juniorgonewild on 2010-08-16Flames Central - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5Airbourne was preceded with two great acts including Social Code. This energetic show rocked. My neck still hurts three days later from the "head-banging" that was a must when you have a metal sound this good. If this is your genre, you won't forget this show anytime soon.

Worst venue security I've ever seen in my entire life, but Airbourne is unreal live. Stop reading this and go see them right now.

Great evening of rock and roll
by gnrfan1 on 2010-08-14Flames Central - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5Bleaker Ridge, Social Code, and Airbourne gave great show to a packed Flames Central.
Amazing!!
by Xerro on 2010-08-14Flames Central - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5The show started off a little slow with a new band i haven't heard of "Bleeker Ridge" These guys put on a good show with good music, but they still have a ways to go in showmanship, They had a tough time getting the crowd into it. Second to grace the room was "Social Code" these guys have it figured out, they play to the crowd, have awesome music and everyone had an awesome time listening to them. When Airbourne came on stage it was a spectacle to say the least, the blinding lights, the pounding kick drum, then the guitars start to ring out. From this moment on everyone knew that it would be an amazing show, at one point Joel found himself standing on the edge of the sound booth hanging over the crowd 20+ feet up. There was tons of beer tossed on the crowd and more slammed into the band. All in all this was the best show i have seen in many years, and Airbourne really knows how to rock a venue. I would recommend everyone who can, go see them.

by KerSher on 2010-08-13The Starlite Room - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5Airbourne was amazing! High energy, great performance! We would see them next time there are in Edmonton! The downfall was the venue charging an additional membership fee to go to this concert. (Starlite room)
Airbourne Kicked My Ass !
by KrazyK2774 on 2010-08-11The Starlite Room - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5All I can really say to describe these guys is WOW ! this was hands down the most high energy show that i have ever seen in twenty years of going to live shows . Airbourne is balls out rock and roll , they played their hearts out , and to see them so up close at the starlight lounge was really special being that they are a band with a stadium sized sound and show . when they come back to edmonton I'm going to see them again for sure . Rock and Roll is alive and well whenever Airbourne is on the stage. if you love all the great classic rock bands and miss the good old days , then you gotta see these guys , their the real deal and will be blowing the doors off of everywhere they play !

The show was amazing, There was an opening band that was really good too but I can't remember their name. Social Code and Airbourne were great; high energy and really loud. The Starlite room wasn't the best venue, it was really really hot and not too much space.
Airbourne ONE THE MOST AMAZING CONCERTS EVER!
by Anonymous on 2010-08-11The Starlite Room - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5THEY KNOW HOW TO BRING THE HOUSE DOWN WITH OLD ROCK UNBELIEVELY AWESOME!
3 rockin bands for the night!!
by Stefani on 2010-08-11The Starlite Room - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5The night was started by a young group of guys (didn't catch their name but it was "somethin" Ridge) and they have a great sound (I haven't seen them before, but they have a cd coming out in September that I intend to buy!) Then, SoCo took the stage to turn the rock up a notch ... their performance is always riviting, Travis belting it out and making it look effortless - what an amazing band! When Airbourne took the stage, if it's possible - it got LOUDER!! The Starlite Lounge was a-rocking last night. If you wanna FEEEEEEL the music taking you away, check out this show - and buy a t-shirt, cause you gonna need a change of clothes after this show - they make you sweat!!!!
