absolutely dream like. I took my 5 year old granddaughter for the first time & she was entranced. Beautifully done.

The Nutcracker
by grreekgirl on 2012-01-02Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5Wonderful ballet! Thoroughly enjoyable. Loved the stage, costumes, music and the dancers. An amazing production.
Alberta Ballet Nutcraker
by Ronk on 2012-01-02Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5My wife has been attending the Nutcraker for 40 years and this was her favorite performance. The winter scene was so beautiful she was moved to tears. The VSO played live--this was essential to her decision to purchase tickets. We no longer attend Nutcraker performances with canned music.
Nutcracker must see
by NatC on 2012-01-02Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5I feel the luckiest balletomane! my first experience in a ballet show was the Nutcracker by Alberta Ballet. I found the perfect seat was far enough to see the beautiful stage design and close enough to see the dancing in detail:) I also had the chance to see the orchestra getting ready;)
Sadly disappointed
by fanballet on 2012-01-02Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 2 out of 5The dancing and performers were beautiful. Almost all the sets/backdrops/props were lackluster and thus the magic of the nutcracker experience was not there for us.
Nutcracker was truly amazing
by HookandLadder on 2012-01-02Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5The Nutcracker - Alberta Ballet was truly amazing...we have been to The Nutcracker many many times and this year really stood out as one of the absolute best. Spectacular costumes and beautiful sets, unique choreography and extremely talented dancers. The children were so wonderful - kudos to all of them. They were very professional and so sweet to watch.

It was a great show! One of the best displays of The Nutcracker that I have seen
The seats very narrow.
by Anonymous on 2012-01-01Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5I guess the seats very narrow per person but the ballet show is very beautiful. I love that!
First ballet
by Sinan on 2012-01-01Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5Being a Christmas classic, I was happy to make this my first ballet. As expected, a lot of skilled dancing yet with the intriguing plot carrying througout. The children dancers are all local, and played their parts adorably, while the professional ballerinas (and ballerinos?), from the soloists to the ensemble dancers, all danced admirably. Very entertaining and highly recommended.
Nicely staged
by Lorelei on 2012-01-01Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5The costumes & gorgeous scenery were a lovely backdrop to the dancing. While a few dancers were not in perfect sync, the principal dancers were well worth the price of admission. It was lovely to see so many families-it is great entertainment for anyone!
The best performance to date!
by Elaimemarie1 on 2012-01-01Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5My husband and I have been going to The Nutcracker for over 20 years. We are still talking about how thrilled we were at the acting, the costumes and the scenes. Please keep up the excellent job. Again, the very best we have been to!
Nutcraker
by Chago on 2012-01-01Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5I expected more from the opening act, the party at Clara's home was kind of boring
- by halloweenhead on 2012-01-01Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5
Act 2 was the better half for me, the highlight being the part when different dancers would come on and do short numbers, and the large ensemble numbers done in unison were beautiful. There were a few parts I found a bit boring during the show, though.

Fantastic show. Classic storyline is great and the performance displayed great acting and technical ballet skills. Was a hit with our entire (adult) family.

Nutcracker in my grandaughter's words
by GregL on 2012-01-01Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5It was great because wolf & mice were realistic. Bathrooms werepacked at intermission and we could not finish our preordered drinks
