Otherness is the first album in over a decade from the group Rolling Stone declared "put Canadian post-hardcore on the map." Five guys playing aggressive rock grew to a hockey-arena headlining phenomenon while pushing and pulling between spirited guitar leads, melodic might, and emotional weight.
AOF released four hugely successful studio albums, all Music Canada Platinum-certified: Alexisonfire (2002), Watch Out (2004), Crisis (2006), and Old Crows / Young Cardinals (2009). Kerrang! counted Crisis (2006) among the 50 Best Albums of the 21st Century, alongside undeniable classics from Green Day, Muse, Slipknot, My Chemical Romance, Blink-182, and Fall Out Boy. After Crisis hit No. 1 in Canada, at a stage where many bands compromise in search of greater success, Alexisonfire doubled down with even heavier riffs on album four, Old Crows/Young Cardinals. Released in 2009, it became their highest-charting record in America.
The guys never sacrificed the punk soul summoned in beat-up vans and basement shows. Blending their classic sound with new and forward-thinking textures, they produced Otherness themselves. Jonah Falco of Fucked Up mixed.
As Revolver Magazine noted in 2019: "It's hard to overstate the influence Alexisonfire had in post-hardcore through the mid-2000s, their combination of singing and screaming setting the blueprint for many artists to come."
I saw Alexisonfire for the first time in Montreal in 2005 at the Uniprix stadium and I was scarred for life. I've seen them a dozen times since and they unconditionally deliver a thunder and fire performance every time. I will carry this band in my heart forever.

I love ALEXISONFIRE, it is my, my brother's, my best friend and her sister's favorite band ever. We have been following them since their start. Going to every show. Our favorite venue to watch them at is MTELUS formerly Metropolis. This time around we were all able to share this amazing experience with my youngest brother. Watching him live a live Alexis show was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had as it was as though we were all experiencing it for the first time again through him. There was so much passion in his singing along, so much energy in his dancing and so much love and gratitude in his face when he caught my eye. Having my brother and I share this experience with our "baby" brother was one of the greatest things we have ever done together. THANK YOU ALEXISONFIRE and THANK YOU MTELUS.

It’s my second time seeing them in concert. They played all their best songs and Steel’s energy was amazing. George and Dallas’ voices sounded great! Great experience!
Easily in my top 3 concerts of all time. The band was on their A game, the crowd was rocking, outstanding night. Had a blast with my 20 year old son. Both of us have been listening to Alexisonfire since he was a toddler, glad the band got back together, it's clear that time and experience has made them even more cohesive as a unit. What a blast!
What a great show! The weather was beautiful and the beer was nice and cold. The only issue I had was it should have been posted no cash only debit or credit. Overall such an amazing time seeing our lovely Canadian boys play 🖤 I love you Alexisonfire
Fantastic show. The security was the best security team I have EVER seen. I was right up front(second row) for the entire show and I watched them preform miracles. Whatever they were paid they deserve bonuses. There would have been a lot more serious injuries without their skill and calm personalities. The only downside, apart from people still not being able to attend shows without getting high or drunk and acting stupid and reckless, was that I got covid. This is the first time I have ever been unmasked in public...and I wish I had just listened to my gut. I'm so sick right now! People are liars. They are not vaxxed, they actively went to a show with covid and infected people. I am triple vaxxed as is EVERYONE I know and associate with. It's a shame that anyone would knowingly hurt people this way.
One of THE BEST SHOWS I have ever seen! Couldn't be happier. The music was amazing, seeing the guys get back to their roots and hearing songs from their debut album brought me back to my teenage years! Such a blast. The OBGMs, Cleopatrik and PUP were so good also! Can't wait to see them all again! Please do this festival again next year!!
Great show. Great sound. Terrific venue and lots of planning by the organizers. Getting into town was easy. Parking was a breeze. I cannot say anything bad. Top notch!

We went on the 3rd and 4th day of the Born and Raised concert at Montebello Park. The line wrapped around the park. We thought we'd have to wait a very long time. The line moved very fast. Going through the security check and the ticket scanning went very smoothly. The venue was very open and spred out. There were many kiosks for alcohol/drinks and we never had to wait. There were lots of toilets spread out and rarely had to wait in line for that too. Everything was directly on time. If a band was suppose to be on at 530pm, they were on exactly at 530pm. It was the best run concert/event I've ever been to. The bands were amazing as well....I had not heard of many of the opening bands but now I'm looking up to see when they play near me. What a great experience.
I hope this concert series returns in future years! Great venue and organization by the whole event team
